Season to Season

November 15th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The collections come to life in the pages of V Magazine with Sølve Sundsbø and Kacper Kasprzyk shooting resort and couture respectively. A good fashion story never goes out of style and V offers up two distinctive takes on dressing – with Beat Bolliger (Art Partner) styling a sleek resort selection using pieces from Bottega VenetaBurberry and Céline on Zlata Mangafic to create a fashion focused studio shoot with style. Tom Van Dorpe (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) pulls out all the eveningwear stops with his couture selection, utilizing the best  of Valentino and Dior to great effect in Kasprzyk’s moody images, while Manon Leloup pulls off the couture looks perfectly. Take a look at both stories and a special video from the resort shoot.

Pump Up the Volume

April 30th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The season’s voluminous proportions are brought to life in the pages of V Magazine with this striking editorial by Kacper Kasprzyk featuring a host of signature pieces selected by stylist, Tom Van Dorpe. (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists). Those larger than life Céline belts, the sculptural Calvin Klein coats, even a hint of well placed Azzedine Alaïa for good measure – all of pre-fall’s best offerings are on display. With her piercing gaze and incredible cheekbones, rising star Sam Rollinson seems made for Kasprzyk’s stark photography and these high drama ensembles.

Take an exclusive first look at the story below and for more from the May issue of V, be sure to check out V Magazine.com

Dark Matter

November 3rd, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Style.com/Print might be a brand new publication, but the magazine spinoff of Style.com hasn’t forgotten about the old masters. Azzedine Alaia s timeless designs feature prominently in a story by Kacper Kasprzyk starring Saskia de Brauw. Sporting fishnets and Alaia’s luxe couture pieces chosen by Tony Irvine, Saskia makes for a modern flapper.

Rock Steady

July 11th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Kacper Kasprzyk takes Daga Ziober to the edge of the world for Dazed & Confused, shooting the Polish beauty in a stark landscape (the story was shot in Iceland just before the last volcanic eruption) wearing the season’s nomadic finery: exotic coats from Pringle of Scotland and Prada abound in the moody shots styled by Karen Langley. The faintest hint of liquid eyeliner by Megumi Itano and tousled locks created by Naoki Komiya complete Daga’s wild look.

The One

February 18th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

The girl with the prophetic name strikes again; Arizona Muse lands on the cover of two of industry’s biggest glossies this month. First Dazed and Confused devotes four different covers to the lovely Miss Muse. Shot by Mark Segal, Sharif Hamza,Kacper Kasprzyk and Benjamin Alexander Huseby, each cover shows a different side of Arizona’s beauty.

Not content to rest on her laurels after 4 Dazed covers, Arizona also shows up on the front of Numero. Shot by Karl Lagerfeld and featuring good friend, Freja Beha Erichsen, the elegant shot serves as Arizona’s entrée into the Chanel cabal.

Color Craft

January 3rd, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Kacper Kasprzyk shoots the season’s richly colored ensembles for a shockingly pretty story in Dazed & Confused. The brightly hued separates chosen by Katie Shillingford, look perfect on Theres Alexandersson. Labels like Christopher Kane and Viktor and Rolf are cutting edge, but here they seem classic and even romantic. The technicolor theme is continued in the makeup by Alex Box; blue lipstick and neon blush certainly make a statement.

Triple Play

July 27th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Anthon Wellsjo‘s stark YSL campaign appearance, eerily powerful Numero Homme cover  and recent success for the S/S 11 shows mark his emergence as a face to watch for the upcoming season. Frida Gianinni‘s a fan; she put him in 3 looks for the show and chose him as the only young man for the F/W lookbook. Looks like 3 may be the young Swedish sensation’s lucky number; racking up such blue chip devotees in all three arenas (editorial/campaigns/shows) is a rare feat indeed. How Swede it is!
