Because we know that you, like us, are endlessly fascinated with any mention of the Calvin Klein brand, here’s a breakdown of their different lines for Fall Winter 09 by WWD. MDC top newcomer Jac is the fantastic new face of Calvin Klein Collection by David Sims. (Click here for a sneak peek at that momentous first meeting of Jac and creative director Fabien Baron). Longtime Calvin Klein favorite Jamie Dornan (currently in their Calvin Klein Free Fragrance campaign) joins Eva Mendes in sensual black and white images for Calvin Klein Underwear photographed by Steven Klein. Eva also appears in Calvin Klein Jeans by Steven Klein. What we can’t wait for is Jourdan Dunn and Sigrid Agren‘s campaign for cK Calvin Klein by Craig McDean to appear shortly. Edita Vilkeviciute, along with Jamie Dornan again, Model Linkfronts Calvin Klein White Label photographed also by McDean. Fabien Baron, who is the creative director behind Collection, Underwear, Jeans and ck Calvin Klein, is back this week as the editorial director for Interview. Also a photographer, Mr. Baron may be the Stateside version of Karl Lagerfeld: multi tasker extraordinaire. The only big campaign left is men’s Collection, which, if it’s like AJ Abualrub‘s, will be most definitely a star maker.

Jourdan Dunn continuously displays her prowess in editorials for the best magazines and this month is no different. Vogue Russia lets Jourdan’s versatility shine as she tries on several different looks for size. Jason Kibbler shoots as Jourdan plays each part with expertise – the only thing that could make this cooler would be if there were backgrounds to match each dramatic ensemble.

The girls just keep on coming! Ranya Mordanova, Rose Cordero, Madisyn Ritland, Bara Holotova and Jourdan Dunn join the now epic lineup of Craig McDean‘s multi-girl extravaganza. With this many choice girls – all dressed in fall’s best – there is something for every single model fan. The only thing that could have made this any better would be if W had treated us to multiple covers.

 

 

 

The best story in Vogue Italia this month is also the darkest. Craig McDean eschews his signature prismatic colors for deep dark tones and a sense of mystery. Evelina Mambetova, Suzie Bird, Jourdan Dunn, Eniko Mihalik & Magdalena Frackowiak are the vampiric muses behind the artist’s work and each girl takes to the theme like its second nature. With all the sweetness and light (read: boring) spring stories floating around right now this little detour into darkness is a welcome respite from the mundane.

The girls are here and they’re better than ever.   Liya Kebede,  Natalia Vodianova,  Anna Jagodzinska,  Isabeli Fontana,  Lara Stone,  Jourdan Dunn,  Raquel Zimmermann,  Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly grace the cover of May’s epic issue of Vogue. Fashion addicts have been waiting for this one forever and the cover is more than worth it. We know you’ve been waiting but fear not fashion fans, a new issue of V is right around the corner! For those who can’t stand the editorial suspense here is a little taste of what’s to come! Jean Francois Campos captures Chanel Iman looking energetic alongside Jessica Stam, Heidi Mount, Jourdan Dunn & Hanne Gaby Odiele. The upbeat editorial is sure to energize those looking for a strong dose of high fashion entertainment.

Modelizers, brace yourselves, i-D is hitting newsstands with not one, not two but 12 incredible covers dedicated to the best British models. By now we all know that Brit girls are among the coolest in the industry and each cover taps into the dynamic personality of its star. Legends like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Twiggy,  Stella Tennant, Susie Bick and Yasmin LeBon share space with au courant faves like Lily Donaldson, Agyness Deyn and Jourdan Dunn. The London It-girls are in full effect too with Alice Dellal, Daisy Lowe and newcomer Eliza Cummins (fresh from her turn in Dazed & Confused) all snagging covers. Long live the queens!

Fashion fans old enough to remember things like Vogue pre-Wintour and non-vintage Halston are already familiar with the work of Richard Avedon, the name alone instantly conjures images of ultimate glamor  This month Solve Sundsbo looks to the past for inspiration, transforming the new generation of models into vintage vixens. Early 80s Avedon and the models of that era – Iman, Paulina, Jerry and more – were the inspiration behind Sundsbo’s latest Vogue Nippon story. Jourdan Dunn, Anne Vyalitsyna, Magdalena Frackowiak & Bianca Balti all look ready for Studio 54 as they vamp it up for the cameras. The end result is arresting and oh so retro – were reminded of the classic Revlon ads and their tagline. Unforgettable.
