Seven For Spring

April 29th, 2015 |Posted by jonathan

British men’s biannual Seventh Man Magazine celebrates the arrival of spring this week with their latest issue, featuring a cheery Jon Kortajarena winking from the cover. He shows off his dance moves in a story within by Lawrence Thomas, dressed in vibrant prints by Dean Hau. The editor-in-chief Hau also photographs and styles Mariano Ontañon in a vivid feature, while John-Paul Pietrus brings a dark, moody Seventies vibe in his story. Michael Morgan and Jace Moody play with pups and Charlie Ayres Taylor and Jack Mather showcase Yohji Yamamoto’s menswear. Profiles of a clutch of rising British actors, including Russell Tovey and Matthew Beard—just nominated for a Tony for his work in Skylight—round out the issue, which also asks, in a feature spotlighting the season’s quirkiest pieces, “Who wants to be normal anyway?” Take a look at an exclusive preview of the new issue, out this week, below.

7th Generation

October 27th, 2014 |Posted by jonathan

With the change of season increasingly in the air, the British magazine 7TH Man Magazine releases their cozy Fall 2014 issue this week, full of sturdy leather jackets and comfy cold-weather pieces to keep you warm in the coming months. Matt Trethe takes on the clean lines of Acne Studios’ new collection for Lawrence Thomas’ lens, while Jester White heads to the blustery seaside in overcoats shot by Tomas Falmer (LUNDLUND). The other features star a range of new faces looking all set to brave the cold (spotlight on new cover face George Culafic by John-Paul Pietrus), and profiles bring in the pop duo Icona Pop, transgender model Ines Rau, and a clutch of rising British actors, including cover star Sam Claflin from the Hunger Games photographed by Dimitris Theocharis. Winter is coming, but Seventh Man reminds us there are plenty of reasons to look forward with anticipation instead of dread. Take a look at our exclusive preview of the new issue below.

Bits & Bytes: Tao for Japan

April 7th, 2011 |Posted by Betty

Another earthquake rocks Japan today, with a tsunami warning following right away. Tao Okamoto and John-Paul Pietrus get together for a special project to raise money for those devastated by the disaster. Check out his site today.

Seeing Karl Lagerfeld as a young man is really kind of awesome.

The supercool stylist Kate Young is interviewed by Fashionista.

One of my all time favorite icons Annie Lennox is the mom of Tali Lennox, an up and coming model who has a great interviw by Natalie Joos on her blog.

Also, if you missed it, the divine An Oost is now a happy and still gorgeous mom in Belgium, also on Natalie’s blog.

This man shows us how to get into Vogue.

Eva Herzigova‘s billboard was voted the most iconic advertisement of all time.

Speaking of gorgeously sexy blondes, here is Ponyryder’s interview with current Guess girl, Heide Lindgren.

See vintage, unseen Kate Moss images styled by MDC’s very own Wayne Sterling.

The one and only David Gandy writes about a typical day. I guess typical if you’re a male supermodel!

RIP: Eric Zeitner, former Versace model, killed in a tragic hit & run.

Anniversary Party

July 22nd, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

A fashion party isn’t really a party unless there are supermodels involved. Vogue Korea has hit the big 13 and for their anniversary blowout they have enlisted three of the industry’s most iconic faces. Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova & Claudia Schiffer grace the three collectors covers and share an editorial inside the issue. John-Paul Pietrus shoots the timeless beauties as they do exactly what they do best and the end result is lovely.
