Karl Lagerfeld and Anthony Maule (Jed Root) shoot a lineup of new faces who fit the bill with Julia Hafstrom, Sarah Brannon, Antonina Petkovic, Issa Lish, Stella Lucia and Molly Bair looking chic on Lagerfeld’s stylized black and white covers. Fresh face Kitty Hayes makes braces cool on Maule’s upbeat cover, sporting a big smile and bright blue orthodontic elastics.

As a season between seasons it’s easy to overlook the importance of pre-fall, but the mini-season is full of lookbooks, presentations and the occasional high profile show. When it comes to casting certain models have been clearly dominating the field with multiple appearances in designer pre-fall lookbooks, which can often serve as foreshadowing for campaigns and other lucrative work with the team behind the scenes. Take a look at which girls are doing well this pre-fall and the myriad of ways designers put their versatile beauty to good use.

For the corresponding campaign Mario Sorrenti (Art Partner) shoots the stunning cast of Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne, Leona Binx Walton, Ysaunny Brito, Issa LishJackson Hale and newcomer Kayla Scott for a series of beautiful images that bring to life the intensity of Rouseteing’s designs. Art directed and styled by Katie Grand the campaign also serves to presents a modern view of what a brand can be, “I could not be more happy with this campaign.” says Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing “It illustrates my vision of the house. These six different women, from such an incredible mix of backgrounds, are all united to present what a modern French house can be. This campaign both reflects today’s realities and the possibilities of the fashion world.”
