Bare Essentials

July 8th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

Calvin Klein released its Fall 2015 Underwear ads featuring a stripped-down Edita Vilkeviciute, Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, and Kendall Jenner.  Newer to posing strictly clad in lingerie, Kendall holds her own showing off her Calvins among the more seasoned lingerie bombshells. Making this her second Calvin campaign, the celeb status model has been nailing down her role as a go-to girl with serious staying power, recently fronting Vogue China, becoming Estee Lauder’s “Modern Muse” and just this week, closing the Chanel Haute Couture show. So pairing Kendall with three top models adept in the art of campaign sex-appeal is another step up. Creative directed by  Trey Laird and photographed in black and white by Mikael Jansson “The Original Sexy” campaign keeps things classic CK – focusing on the bare essentials, and in the case of the looking good in underwear: confidence is sexy.

Balmaniacs

December 12th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Olivier Rousteing‘s vision for Balmain has always been about powerful, provocative women so it seems natural to see his Spring/Summer campaign filled with supermodels. Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and newcomer Crista Cober join forces to play video games and eat cheeseburgers in Mario Sorrenti‘s (Art Partner) action packed ads for Balmain. Sorrenti never fails to bring energy to his images and this time around he makes the usually elegant cast engage in a little combat. If kicking and screaming supers isn’t your idea of a good time fear not, the subtler images have the beauties duking it out via Nintendo rather than clawing each others eyes out. The art direction by Pascal Dangin adds another layer of enjoyment, with patterns and colors perfectly coordinating even as the punches are thrown.

The Brazilian bombshell flamencos onto the cover of Vogue Italia with an expressive shot that showcases her peerless posing ability. No one moves quite like Isabeli so it’s no wonder Meisel enlisted her for his spirited tribute to Maria Felix. Dancer Timo Nunez joins Isabeli for the image and editorial, adding a sensual energy to the images and showcasing some jaw-dropping moves in Gordon von Steiner‘s accompanying film.

Full Throttle

July 11th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Saying that Isabeli Fontana is sexy is a bit like saying water is wet, but the Brazilian bombshell is in rare form in the pages of Vogue Russia. Shot by Terry Tsiolis and sporting a variety of plunging necklines and sinewy shapes selected by Karen Langley Isabeli radiates heat in the sleek studio images. Even when she’s covered in by graphic Proenza Schouler and Christopher Kane prints she still manages to look every inch the vixen.

Desert Song

March 24th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Boo George (London: Streeters London, Los Angeles: Streeters Los Angeles, New York: Streeters New York).
Beat Bolliger (Art Partner).
Isabeli Fontana.
Vogue China.

In the midst of the dessert a vision of glamour emerges. Isabeli lends her showgirl panache to George’s atmospheric images as Bolliger works in an array of eye-catching pieces from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Agent Provocateur. Sequins, marabou feathers and other exquisite details abound but when these luxurious trappings are paired with the faded, dreamlike style of the photographs it creates a haunting mood.

Ad Network

More fabulous fashion ads keep coming in, take a look at the latest.

TOM FORD

Tom Ford – Designer & Photographer | Orlando Pita – Hair Stylist | Charlotte Tilbury – Makeup Artist |Karlina Caune & Simon Van Meervenne – Models

We can always count on Tom Ford for an epitomized version of modern glamour and his latest campaign delivers with sleek shots by Ford himself of Karlina Caune and Simon Van Meervenne. Playing to his strengths the designer / photographer / director / provocateur creates simple images that focus on those decadent designs. Who needs exotic locations and complicated set ups when you have the beauty of those golden to the knee sandals and fringed shoes! Karlina and Simon look pretty damn good too, both models capture the slightly dangerous and oh so sexy vibe of Ford’s ethos.

ALEXANDER WANG

Alexander Wang
 – Designer | Steven Klein – Photographer | Pascal Dangin – Art Director | Malgosia Bela – Model

Given the memorable way Wang presented his S/S collection’s glow in the dark dresses, we were expecting a campaign with flashing lights, or blinding neons from Alexander Wang. Never one to go for the obvious thrill, Wang enlists Steven Klein and Pascal Dangin for an evocative campaign featuring the Malgosia Bela. The beauty of these images lies in the artistic way in which the clothing is presented: with her body painted in white and the stark backdrop, Malgosia looks more like a performance artist than a model. As the Wang label enters into its next stage of development this campaign provides a dynamic and eye-catching brand message.

KENZO

Jean Paul Goude – Photographer | Anthony Turner – Hair Stylist | Aaron de Mey – Makeup Artist | Humberto Leon & Carol Lim – Creative Directors | Jester White & Ming Xi – Models

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Kenzo’s F/W ads by Jean Paul Goude were arresting and upbeat – they even made our best of 2012 list and for S/S the saga continues with Ming Xi and Jester White picking up where things left off. We didn’t think it would be possible, but these ads are even more colorful and kooky than the first set.

AKRIS

Karim Sadli – Photographer | Anthony Turner – Hair Stylist | Hannah Murray – Makeup Artist | Alana Zimmer – Model

Karim Sadli shoots Akris’ understated S/S ads featuring Alana Zimmer. Akris has always been about luxury that whispers instead of shouts and Saldi does an excellent job of communicating that message visually. Albert Kriemler’s elegantly minimal designs look especially beautiful set against the lush green backdrop and Alana is as lovely as ever.

ROBERTO CAVALLI

Roberto Cavalli – Designer | Mario Testino  – Photographer | Marie Chaix – Fashion Editor/Stylist | Sam McKnight – Hair Stylist | Charlotte Tilbury – Makeup Artist | Jack Flanagan – Set Designer | Lorraine Griffin – Manicurist

Roberto Cavalli’s clothes are not for wallflowers, so it makes sense that the S/S campaign features three of the boldest and mostt compelling models around. Isabeli Fontana, Malgosia Bela and Sui He star in Mario Testino‘s kinetic images filled with bold prints, saturated colors and the brand’s signature in your face opulence.
