Lurve Actually

May 7th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

For Lurve Magazine’s ninth issue themed “Visually, Precisely” the indie mag wanted photography itself to be the creative thrust, so assembling art photographers and image aficionados like Giasco Bertoli and Valerio Spada, who typically operate outside of fashion, made complete sense to shoot the two covers. Philo-philes can embrace the Céline laden cover stars styled by Moreno Galatà. Sure-to-be-hit Poppy Okotcha looks simply sweet in natural light by Spada and Taja Feistner brings the edge, shot in Bertoli’s raw manner. Other editorials by Estelle Hanania with Yulia Musieichuck and Sara Van Pée keep in line with those honest and candid aesthetics, whereas Edith Bergfors’ rich and contrasty images explore form. See the exclusive issue preview below.

Fur Frenzy

June 26th, 2013 |Posted by

Dazed & Confused features three of our favorite up and coming models this month in a playful punk rock editorial by photographer Jeff Bark. In ‘Mad Fur It’ Joanna Tatarka, Leona Binx Walton, and Marta Dyks are styled in Fendi statement furs– a necessity this upcoming F/W 2013 season. These grungy-glam looks wouldn’t be complete without sky-high mohawks and Jeff Bark’s always unique take on beauty. Makes us miss our winter blues…

Shu Pei has the best skin in the business

Do you admire the flawless skin of your favorite models? This week’s mdc ♥ is dedicated to products designed to make you look your best.

The secret behind the flawless complexions of models and fashion insiders alike, Clarisonic gives the morning beauty routine a high tech upgrade. Using sonic vibrations to cleanse the skin and clear pores, the brush deep cleans and makes your skin look beautiful. We were slightly skeptical when we began our Clarisonic routine, but after testing it out for a week the results were phenomenal. Added bonus, the Clarisonic features a body brush that can be used to exfoliate areas like décolleté, elbows and knees, for runway ready skin all over.

Available at the Clarisonic site

Fashion’s most cutting edge makeup artists, Inge Grognard documents her work with her husband, photographer Roland Stoops; as a source of inspiration, the book is absolutely priceless. Their unusual take on beauty broke boundaries in shows for designers like Helmut Lang, Martin Margiela and Ann Demeulemeester.

The iconic New York fragrance line brings their luxurious scents to bodycare with their line of perfectly scented creams. With a rich texture and sumptuous aromas (We like the ylang ylang and peony scented, West Side) they provide the final touch for sensual skin.
