Calvin Klein is in Motion

August 7th, 2015 |Posted by Irene Ojo-Felix

For this season’s Calvin Klein Collection, the advertising campaign collaborated with legendary artist Charles Atlas to shoot pop-art still images and videos that are as vibrant as they are expressive. Models Grace Hartzel, Tami Williams, Maartje Verhoef, Filip Hrivnak, and Otto Pierce show off their moves for the campaign video in creations courtesy of womenswear creative director Francisco Costa and menswear creative director Italo Zucchelli. From a colorful acid trip for the ladies to an edgy, graphic vibe for the guys, Calvin Klein has continued their tradition of exploring new ways to present their pieces to the masses.

The Company You Keep

May 26th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

In celebration of i-D Magazine’s 35th birthday Alasdair McLellan (Art Partner) shoots a league of winking models, 18 to be exact, from the industry’s North Stars like Kate Moss, Malgosia BelaLara Stone and newly minted super Jourdan Dunn to a crop of next of kin muses like Anna Ewers, Natalie Westling and Grace Hartzel. The British photographer who is known for his pared down approach had his career launched by the iconic publication after his work caught the eye of stylist Simon Foxton. Since then he’s been part of the I-D family, so having him shoot the entire summer issue front to back seems a befitting concept. Surely fans of Alasdair McLellan’s work are already drooling.

Jackets Required

March 25th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

Fashion’s preoccupation with the seventies becomes the ideé fixe for W Magazine’s new Mario Sorrenti shoot that highlights Saint Laurent muse Grace Hartzel alongside a bleached blonde Jaime Ross. Melanie Ward adopts the glamrock eclecticism of Slimane’s LA playground and the story’s creed: “Jackets required. The rest is at your discretion” means there’s no room for staid convention. On that note, Ward styles the duo into disparate, beatnik-chic playmates mixing in plenty of Saint Laurent. Aaron de Mey adds a touch of mod focusing on bold lashes and James Pecis tousles their hair to appear as unattended to as their abandoned hideout. See the full editorial out on newsstands right now.

Amazing Grace

November 12th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

With her delicate features and bright blue eyes, Grace Hartzel is one of the prettiest models to grace the pages of fashion glossies of late, but don’t let the doll-like beauty fool you Grace is a force to be reckoned with. Over the past few months Grace has been steadily racking up a slew of impressive editorials, working with some of fashion’s coolest publications and best photographers. With three editorials in a row in Vogue Paris, a chic only-girl story in the latest Interview Magazine and compelling shots in British Vogue all eyes are on Grace. Coming off the heels of an impressive season (and exclusive) season is an accomplishment, but following it up with editorial after editorial of quality is what makes a model a star.

Mikael Jansson takes a voyage upstate for a rustic editorial that pairs pieces from fashion’s most luxurious labels with a down home backdrop that speaks to America’s working class roots. Wearing Louis Vuitton and Prada to the local rail-station or back-alley isn’t an every day occurrence, but in the knowing hands of Karl Templer the pieces seem down to earth rather than lofty. As worn by the youthful cast led by Grace Hartzel, Tami Williams, Harleth Kuusik, Nastya Sten, Vanessa Moody, Waleska GorczevskiDani Witt and Julia Hafstrom these designer looks represent the dressed down uniform girls everywhere. With this story Interview Magazine adds another hit to this month’s impressive editorial lineup.
