A Few Good Men

July 29th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

In case you’ve haven’t had enough of phenomenal previews from the newest edition of Love Magazine, take a sneak peek at Alessandra Ambrosio, as a dashing naval sailor in Boo George‘s beautiful story from Issue No. 6. Alessandra is worlds away from her bombshell persona and she disappears into her role with panache. Sporting naval inspired looks selected by Anders Solvsten Thomsen, Alessandra looks phenomenal. We’re excited to see the rest of the story, which also features George Barnett, Alexander Beck, Sid Ellisdon, Danny Fox, Julius Gerhardt, Tommy Kristiansen, Robert Knighton, Kate King & Hannah Noble.

The Fall/Winter 10/11 shows kick off in Milan with the men’s shows starting Saturday. Burberry gets our nod for most media savvy with their live stream of the show. You can check it out at live.burberry.com. The collection, with arguably one of the most coveted lineups of coats ever seen, was a huge hit with the fans who were able to comment as the show livestreamed. Many of the brand’s favorite faces, former MOTW’s Lasse Pedersen, and Albert Krarup, Tom Nicon, Jeremy Young, Charlie France, Robert Rae , James Hampson made their requisite walks but modeling fans enjoyed seeing the the next generation of male faces on the Burberry catwalk.

Alex Dunstan opens and closes the iconic brand (you can check out Alex’s OTM interview here). Expect Benoni Loos, Robbie Wadge, Mathias Bergh, Mark Cox, George Barnett, Bastiaan Ninaber, William Eustace, Jonas Kesseler, former MOTW Alexandre Imbert and Jakob Hybholt to continue to dominate for the next 2 weeks.

Look Again

April 22nd, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Lean, tattooed, youthful and edgy – these are the hallmarks of the current male model look, a look personified by boys like Ash Stymest, Luke Worrall Josh Beech, George Barnett and Cole Mohr. Arena Homme + pays tribute to male modeling’s resident rebels via a series of serene blue shots by Alasdair McLellan. Considering the nearly indistinguishable portraits one has to wonder – with so many boys sporting the tats and attitude has the look reached critical mass?

The Power of One

July 29th, 2008 |Posted by Janelle

George Barnett is front and center for Lanvin menswear. The winsome Brit portrays an entire group of Lanvin clad boys in the new campaign. Multi-tasking comes naturally for George – in addition to modeling and apprenticing with Hedi Slimane, George is also the drummer for critically acclaimed band, These New Puritains.
