Always Darkest Before Dawn

July 1st, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

We love a good collaboration and Jeremy Kost and Marc Jacobs’ BookMarc store in NYC have teamed up for a project that documents New York’s nightlife and some modeling’s most familiar faces. “It’s Always Darkest Before Dawn” combines Kost’s Polaroid collages and beautiful photos with the faces of NYC’s vibrant club scene – celebrities, models, drag queens, club kids and everyone in between. This preview has Garrett Neff wearing makeup by Veruca la’Pirahna and little else.

Bits & Bytes: Milan wrapup

January 19th, 2011 |Posted by Betty

Details Magazine threw a rocking party in Milan at the Principe with Garrett Neff (pictured), Noah Mills and a host of the top runway guys enjoying the event. Catch all the images here by rising male model/photographer Julian Schratter. (image for models.com courtesy of Details)

If you missed any of the action in Milan, go to Frillr for runway videos, and see Sonny Vandevelde‘s always distinctively fun backstage pictures. For runway images, who are our favorites? WWD breaks it up by cities and has backstage pics, Style.com lets you see the complete collection at once and Vogue.co.uk which has the very cool magnifying tool to get in thisclose to the details.

Want to know who is the Brazilian model that walked the most shows in Milan? Check Made in Brazil. It’s a no brainer.

Mugler just wrapped up this first day in Paris. Have you been checking out creative director Nicola Formichetti‘s eerie teasers with Rick Genest?

Miscellaneous:

Speaking of Brazil, MIB has a link where you can help the victims of the floods in Rio. Open your pockets, people!

Center Stage

January 12th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

In the midst of the frenetic men’s castings for Milan and Paris, come a plethora of top new campaigns and faces to ogle:

Ollie Edwards, the winning Brit continues his hot streak as the campaign face for Giorgio Armani by Josh Olins.

Garrett Neff reaffirms his top model billing with the Trussardi campaign by everyone’s favorite Renaissance man Milan Vukmirovic.

New face Paolo Anchisi emerges in the Mario Testino lensed Versace campaign sharing the spotlight with stars Simon Nessman and Georgia May Jagger.

Though Jacob Coupe‘s Prada image is the only one to appear so far, Love Magazine gives a preview of the main campaign which was filmed and shot by artist and filmmaker, Yang Fudong who has “has created some of the most staggeringly beautiful works of independent cinema to come out of China.”

Pumping Iron

November 13th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

You can always tell a picture by Terry Richardson, the iconic photographer blends humor and sex in a way that no one else can. Terry brings his tongue-in-cheek style to the new issue of VMan, with an editorial filled with 80s kitsch. Garrett Neff,Nate GillCory BondTanner Tillung and Grayson Gettys, lift weights, jump rope and show off those perfect physiques, but Terry keeps things lighthearted. Bonus points: Mel Ottenberg‘s wonderfully campy styling (cutoff t-shirts never looked so good) is straight out of the Olivia Newton John Physical video.

Gentleman’s Club

July 2nd, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Campaign season isn’t just for the ladies. Modeling’s top boys are making waves in a slew of ads with sophisticated flair. Werner Schreyer looks like a million bucks for Hugo by Hugo Boss, photographed by Jean-Francois Carly. Cutting a dashing figure in black and white, Schreyer looks like he stepped out of a classic film.

For Tru Trussardi the perpetually sexy, Garrett Neff looks as appealing as ever. Clad in a simple black coat and pants Garrett strikes as sensual pose for Milan Vukmirovic and shows that he can be just as alluring all dressed up as he is stripped down.

Garrett the body

July 15th, 2008 |Posted by Betty

Click’s Garrett Neff has some big shoes to fill. He’s the first model to appear in the iconic Calvin Klein underwear campaign, after the twice Oscar nominated actor, Djimon Hounsou lit up the billboards last year. Back in 1992, the Herb Ritts lensed campaign (for those of you too young to remember) helped launch the careers of Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss. Bruce Weber, who shot the legendary pics with Tom Hintnaus more than 25 years ago shoots the current Garrett series. From what we’ve seen of Garrett backstage, we think he’s going to more than hold his own with those model giants.
