Jil is back! With Sander back at the helm of her eponymous line, it is only natural that the S/S 13 campaign would have a completely different look and feel from what we’ve seen from the brand of late. David Sims shoots futuristic ad images that are completely in line with the streamlined Sander vibe, while Juliane Grüner and Otto Lotz perfectly embody the effortless chic of Sander’s aesthetic.

DIOR

Raf Simons (Designer) | Willy Vanderperre (Photographer) | Olivier Rizzo (Fashion Editor/Stylist) | Anthony Turner (Hair Stylist) | Aaron de Mey (Makeup Artist) | Piers Hanmer (Set Designer) | Anna Martynova, Daiane Conterato, Marie Piovesan, Nicole Pollard, Daria Strokous (Models)

We expect nothing less than the pinacle of elegance from fashion’s most storied house and Willy Vanderperre (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) delivers with a series of campaign images that effortlessly capture Raf Simons’ minimalist vision for Dior. The new look (pun intended) of the campaign feels refreshing and completely in line with the collection.

Guccissima

August 15th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

The Gucci look could never be called minimalist but in Love Magazine‘s latest issue, a pared down Natalia Vodianova makes the line’s ostentatious wares look downright austere. The beautiful and simple shots by Alasdair McLellan capture Natalia’s beauty and Katie Grand‘s impeccable styling brings out the best of Gucci’s archival pieces.

After Hours

August 9th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Just what are Saskia de Brauw and Marique Schimmel up to in Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott‘s moody Gucci-centric story for Interview? Late nights in the park, cavorting with a mysterious man (who just so happens to be Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan) dressed to the nines in Frida Gianinni‘s 70s inspired collection: it all looks glam, but just a little seedy.

Triple Play

July 27th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Anthon Wellsjo‘s stark YSL campaign appearance, eerily powerful Numero Homme cover  and recent success for the S/S 11 shows mark his emergence as a face to watch for the upcoming season. Frida Gianinni‘s a fan; she put him in 3 looks for the show and chose him as the only young man for the F/W lookbook. Looks like 3 may be the young Swedish sensation’s lucky number; racking up such blue chip devotees in all three arenas (editorial/campaigns/shows) is a rare feat indeed. How Swede it is!
