Secret Garden

June 1st, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Eva Herzigova lands on the cover of June’s Vogue Italia looking as fresh as ever surrounded by greenery and wearing Louis Vuitton. Believe it or not, this is the supermodel’s first VI cover and her first time working with the legendary Steven Meisel. The headline ‘Fall Forecast’ promises that pre-fall’s finest looks will be showcased within the pages of the issue and with Marie-Amelie Sauve styling, there are sure to be some unexpected elements thrown into the mix.

Bits & Bytes: Animal Attraction

April 21st, 2010 |Posted by Betty

49

Bruce Weber, Nan Bush, Kelly Klein, Jennifer Starr along with the iconic Tyson Beckford and the beautiful Sports Illustrated Cover star, Brooklyn Decker will be together on April 28th in support of The Last Chance Animal Rescue Fund and the Amaryllis Equine Rescue. Come to the fundraiser/silent auction, which brings together some of the biggest names in fashion and help our furry friends. If you can’t attend, click here to donate.

——————————————————————————-

Modeling info:

First Lara Stone for Calvin Klein, now Alessandra Ambrosio for Moschino by Ines & Vinoodh. Sexy is most assuredly back for fall.

We’re also excited that Calvin Klein’s Francisco Costa has done away with using size zero models. It’s about time fashion at its highest level pushed for healthier looks and practices.

Oh too cute: Imogen Morris-Clarke has a new blog with a pic of herself as a child.

Here’s Agyness Deynin the trailer of her new film with Linus Roache. She looks damn gorgeous.

Eva Herzigova, mommy and supermodel is interviewed by Elle Magazine.

Gorgeous Brazilian male model, Diogo, what else is new?

Vogue likes new face Barbara Palvin, we do too!

Kate Moss + Mario Testino = new Taschen book on our must have list.

Ryan Kennedy is back with his second interview for this fashion fan.

If you’re from the US, go to Factor Women’s website to find out about their modelsearch. It goes through May.

Miscellaneous:

Here’s 2 items I’m obsessing over, these Vivienne Westwood for Lee jeans, and this leather jacket. I bet Freja Beha would like the jacket :)

V Man’s new issue is out and it’s chockfull of fantastic new shoots including that infamous Shrek shoot that Dreamworks is regretting. We love it!

Congrats Danny (of Igor & Andre) for making it to Teen Vogue! May all your other fashion dreams come true.

Many attended Anna Wintour’s tribute to Irving Penn at Pratt Institute but we especially love Fashionista’s report that shows even Ms Nuclear Wintour can be touched by the legend’s greatness.

Asian Americans in the fashion industry! Some of our favorite people will be here including Phillip Lim and iconic model Jenny Shimizu.

Inimitable

November 18th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

You can’t beat the supermodels. It has been more than 20 years since the supers first appeared on the scene, yet they retain their inimitable presence. The Winter edition of i-D is all about timelessness and Kayt Jones‘ cover of Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer (all @ 1 Model Management) illustrates the theme perfectly. The simple black and white shot of the trio looking like goddesses, showcases the beauty and undeniable it factor that have kept all three at the top of the heap for so long.

Now that you’ve seen our exclusive preview of the cover – what are your favorite Eva, Helena & Claudia moments?

Diamond In the Rough

October 5th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Hedi Slimane never fails to bring out something pure in his subjects. Even when he shoots the most glamorous of models his images maintain a fragility and rawness that keeps them compelling. Eva Herzigova poses for Slimane in the latest Vogue Paris and though she retains the bombshell sex appeal she’s known for Slimane shows us another side of the supermodel.

Always A Lady

July 31st, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Eva Herzigova is one of the perennial supermodels and no matter the story she brings her unique blend of sex appeal and grace to each picture. For Numero Tokyo, Eva serves as the embodiment of all things luxurious in its glam themed issue. Shot by Alex Cayley looking resplendent in a sumptous home, the supermodel reminds us that true glamour still exists.

Anniversary Party

July 22nd, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

A fashion party isn’t really a party unless there are supermodels involved. Vogue Korea has hit the big 13 and for their anniversary blowout they have enlisted three of the industry’s most iconic faces. Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova & Claudia Schiffer grace the three collectors covers and share an editorial inside the issue. John-Paul Pietrus shoots the timeless beauties as they do exactly what they do best and the end result is lovely.

Still Got It

July 9th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

True classics never go out of style – the original supermodels always manage to make their presence felt and this month’s Vogue Italia showcases some of our old familiar favorites looking incredible. Mario Sorrenti shoots Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova and Christy Turlington in a series of shots that are pure glamour. Sadly, only 4 supers are featured – which 90s era models would you love to see shot by Sorrenti? My vote goes to La Linda.

Knock Em’ Out

June 8th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Dolce & Gabbana’s F/W campaign packs a one-two punch of star power. Jesus Luz, David Gandy, Noah Mills, Adam Senn, Julien Quevenne, Cory Bond & Eva Herzigova join forces in a boxing themed series that takes inspiration from the classic Visconti film, Rocco e i Suoi Fratelli. Steven Klein is at the helm once again which means the campaign is sure to be memorable, slick and full of skin.
