Mirte Maas steams things up in the pages of Vogue Italia in a sleek shoot from Greg Kadel. Spring hasn’t even begun, but Kadel is filling our heads with thoughts of sweltering summer days and attire fit for the heat. Stylist Enrica Ponzellini mixes reflective shades, cropped tops and juicy colored separates for a look that pops straight off the page. Add in wet look hair by Franco Gobbi and dewy makeup by Mariel Barrera and you’ve got a pitch perfect break from the winter doldrums.

Campaign Confidential

CELINE

The vibrant SS14 collection was a departure for Celine but its buoyant energy is captured perfectly by Juergen Teller and Stephen Galloway. The Kandinsky-esque prints and primary colors come alive thanks to Galloway’s dance moves and elegant poses by Daria Werbowy andJulia Nobis

ALEXANDER WANG

Bad girls do it well in Alexander Wang’s cheeky spring ads, Steven Klein shoots in a bathroom stall as Anna Ewers poses in one of Wang’s memorable parental advisory mesh tops. The gritty vibe is underscored by Karl Templer‘s styling and creative direction by Pascal Dangin.

MIU MIU

Given that we’re right in the middle of awards season, Miu Miu’s actress fronted campaign seems especially timely. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shoot an array of rising stars including fashion favorites Lupita Nyong’o, Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen and Bella Heathcote

TOM FORD

When you wear Tom Ford, all eyes are on you so it only seems fitting that the designer’s S/S 14 campaign centers around a crowdsurfing theme. Models Esther HeeschConrad Bromfield and Carlos Peters get carried away – literally – as Ford shoots them in glamorous pieces from his ready to wear, eyewear and accessories empire.

Lanvin Luxe

July 9th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Fashion has the power to transform you, literally. Steven Meisel puts the old adage to the test and takes Edie Campbell on a wild trip through the latest Lanvin collection in the new fall advertising campaign. Portraying six very different personas in the sleek shots, Edie showcases the versatility of Alber Elbaz‘s designs and her innate posing skills – it’s not easy to look chic while holding a duck and wearing a two-tone fur. Her transformations are aided by impressive makeup by Pat McGrath and Guido Palau‘s hair magic, all of which combines to show a fresh side of Ms. Campbell.

Spotlight On: Malcolm Edwards

April 23rd, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Hair can be one of the most transformative aspects of fashion editorials, taking models into otherworldly territory and changing how we view their beauty. As anyone who appreciates hair will tell you, one of the most exciting talents around is Malcolm Edwards, whose cutting-edge styles are works of art. From creating colorful pasty inspired do’s in W Magazine, to giving Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence a bit of flamingo finery, Edwards never fails to infuse a hint of magic in his imagery.
