Versus’ New Era

May 8th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The spirit of collaboration brings out the best in fashion, so when we heard J.W. Anderson and Versus were joining forces it was cause for excitement. A first look at the collection is finally available thanks to Dazed & Confused, who preview the looks with a short film that harks back to the days of Andy Warhol’s screen tests. Featuring Hirschy Hirschfelder, Daga Ziober, Jester WhiteZlata Mangafic, Eleonora Baumann and Allen Taylor, the clip takes us into the new era of Versus.

Queens Center

March 26th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Amy Troost shoots four of the season’s finest faces for i-D Magazine‘s royalty issue. With a title cribbed from Gaga lyrics and some tricked out fashion’s chosen by Alastair McKimm, this story is heavy on attitude. Being a queen isn’t always about being prim and proper, these ladies showcase spirited toughness all while wearing royal finery from the likes of Givenchy & Alexander McQueen. Dressed in baroque McQueen complete with headdress, Daga Ziober looks darkly regal Julia FraucheMaria Bradley & Karlina Caune round out the impressive cast.

Campaign Candy

January 9th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

MULBERRY

Mulberry’s spring ads are the stuff of Tumblr dreams, Lindsey Wixson, Frida Gustavsson and a giant melting ice cream cone by Tim Walker? The sugar level is off the charts, but who can resist such a sweet treat?! Shot on location in Brighton with set design by  Andy Hillman and styling by Edward Enninful, the girlish ads are joyful and creative. Those cream colored Bayswater satchels and bright high heeled wedges are almost as tempting as the massive hard candies.

ROBERTO CAVALLI

Steven Meisel takes three legendary supers and one outstanding newbie to create a classically minded campaign. Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy, Karen Elson and Daphne Groeneveld join forces for a striking ad that brings to mind Avedon’s epic Versace ads from the 80s.

PROENZA SCHOULER

Natasha Poly as a modern pin up girl is a campaign concept we can get behind. Willy Vanderperre and Olivier Rizzo create an enticing series of images that capitalize on Ms. Poly’s natural allure and the appealing mix of pattern & texture found in Proenza’s spring collection. The clothes are front and center here and they look phenomenal: sign us up for a pair of those heels!

AKRIS

Akris is known for their appealing take on minimal fashions and the spring campaign takes that idea and runs with it. Karim Sadli shoots Daga Ziober in the backseat of a vintage car wearing Albert Kriemler’s gorgeous designs.

Rock Steady

July 11th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Kacper Kasprzyk takes Daga Ziober to the edge of the world for Dazed & Confused, shooting the Polish beauty in a stark landscape (the story was shot in Iceland just before the last volcanic eruption) wearing the season’s nomadic finery: exotic coats from Pringle of Scotland and Prada abound in the moody shots styled by Karen Langley. The faintest hint of liquid eyeliner by Megumi Itano and tousled locks created by Naoki Komiya complete Daga’s wild look.
