Luke and Raquel (Success) by Chad Pitman

d1 Models London dominates the new GQ Style with 5 young men including brand new face Harrison Cooter. The Cambridge University student’s debut job? The beautiful cover by Chad Pitman. Inside, perennial personalities Cole Mohr, Jethro Cave and Luke Worrall cavort on the beach in Chad’s dreamy editorial also by uberstylist David Bradshaw. Fascinating to see the famous McQueen lobster shoes in a natural environment. Certainly gets you ready for spring doesn’t it?

Bits and Bytes: D1’s Michael

April 29th, 2009 |Posted by Betty

Michael Simmonds. d1 Model Management.

Cool London boutique agency, d1 Models, home to Luke Worrall, continues to spin out the awesome English boys. Witness Michael Simmonds, from Northwest London. Rock on we say!

Christy Turlington doesn’t get out much but when she does, WOW, is all we can say.

Vogue’s model roundtable with Sally Singer. Wish we could have been there..

Ellis, the Model Agent (from Independent Models) and Erin O’Connor, supermodel search for the next Irish supermodel on TV. Here are the girls.

The Cut has a hilarious list of why Madonna may be doing LV with Jesus Luz.

Time’s 100 list this year? Very lacking in fashion industry names. Only Stella McCartney makes it this year.

Fascinating behind the scenes interview on Avedon with his book designer and one time daughter in law, Elizabeth Avedon.

American Vogue‘s style director, Alexandra Kotur, is interviewed by the New York Observer. Anna Wintour says, “I trust her with all sorts of important sittings.” That’s high praise indeed, coming from Ms Wintour herself…

Matthew Williamson for H&M’s event had Helena and Selita looking gorgeous. Chanel Iman and Dree Hemingway…. not as much (so says Jezebel). Go here for some Jeremy Kost shots from the party.

T Magazine downsized, Mixte Magazine folds…. so sad.

D1’s Daniel

July 23rd, 2008 |Posted by Betty

The Sartorialist mentioned recently about taking a timeless picture where you won’t be able to tell in 50 years, when an image was shot. We feel a little like that about Daniel Hicks, an 18 year old from Manchester (Agyness Dean’s hometown) who we can’t believe wasn’t transported through a time machine from the 80’s! What is it about the Mancunians and their efforlessly cool factor?
