Dazed’s Odyssey

April 18th, 2016 |Posted by steven.yatsko

Inside the upcoming issue of Dazed Magazine rising image-maker Charlotte Wales photographs Taylor Hill as a vision of idyllic beauty. Though the Victoria Secret Angel is sans her wings, the dreamy model gives plenty of Greek goddess vibes thanks to an ethereal set by Alexander Bock and some unexpected fashioning by Elizabeth Fraser-Bell, including a tinfoil laurel band. Beauty team Thomas De Kluyver and Christian Eberhard conjure Greek mythos just as well as the divine real and now. See the exclusive preview of the editorial below before the issue is out tomorrow.

Intermission Favors the Feminine

December 2nd, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

For Intermission‘s 11th issue, the magazine dons six covers framing a selection of faces from Sasha Pivovarova to Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov, never missing a casting beat in-between. The inside stories favor the feminine over all else, like a rosy-cheeked Maartje Verhoef by Richard Burbridge or John Scarisbrick‘s version of Kati Nescher as the most modern woman. Casper Sejersen conceptualizes a geometric editorial featuring Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov, styled by Hannes Hetta–the shoot goes beyond by adding extra steps like some fashionable folding. Check out the rest of the issue preview below.

Vintage Vision

April 24th, 2015 |Posted by Irene Ojo-Felix

W Magazine has nothing but the sci-fi setting of Mad Max on its brain with their latest cover featuring actress and model Charlize Theron. On the other hand, inside the issue models Aamito Lagum and Senait Gidey give us a more retro, 70s vibes with wide-legged trousers, muted color tones, & a mellow mood created by photographer Charlotte Wales and stylist Felicia Garcia-Rivera. So for Spring, take their advice, cut your tight skinny jeans some slack, and fall into a more free silhouette.

Unexpected Pleasures

January 22nd, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Interview Germany continues its tradition of excellence with two new fashion stories that go for the unexpected. Cover star Lindsey Wixson turns in a stellar performance in Sebastian Faena‘s sensual story inspired by the films of Rainer Werner Fassbinder and filled with the same thrilling, avant-garde energy as his work (with set design by Jesse Kaufmann). Julia von Boehm styles Wixson and Jon Kortajarena in dramatic looks that echo the decadent costumes of movies like Lola.

Charlotte Wales and Clare Byrne provide a different kind of surprise with a spirited denim editorial focused on the very best in blue jeans. The fresh-faced cast was culled directly from New York high schools, providing a unique change of pace and a distinctive set of teen beauties.
