Looks like grey is the new black (again)! Lanvin‘s trio of lovelies, Magdalena Frackowiak, Mariacarla Boscono and Anja Rubik glower fiercely in gunmetal grey for Steven Meisel (read more about Lanvin’s new St. Tropez store here at WWD).  Benetton‘s casting by Michelle Lee is, as usual, divine: multi-culti with some of the freshest faces of the season. The crew, photographed by Josh Olins/styled by Clare Richardson, wears the color enhanced with silver. Hugo Boss does slate with Ben Hill and Sasha Pivovarova fronting the German brand as shot by Cedric Buchet. Looks like there’s something here for everyone in the three campaigns. What’s your favorite grey piece you’ll be picking up for fall?

Cedric Buchet takes the models as statues idea one step further, pitting Malgosia Bela against a wealth of classical sculpture for Vogue Nippon. The editorial combines everything we love; good photography, a top notch model and some incredible styling courtesy of George Cortina, the dramatic feel of the editorial is only heightened by the use of elegant gowns from Valentino and Givenchy. However, the stand out of the story has to be the acid yellow goddess gown from Pucci, a striking piece made even more interesting by Malgosia’s captivating pose.

Art Imitates Life

March 25th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

When it comes to inspirations Vogue Hommes international, always thinks outside the box and in their latest issue they pay tribute to the unique style of Jean-Michel Basquiat with a special editorial. Ty Ogunkoya stars as the late artist, while Cedric Buchet shoots the biographical story – moving from Basquiat’s days as a graffiti artist, to his eventual conquering of the 80s art scene. Each member of the team brought something special to this story: Ty is cast perfectly in this role and brings the right blend of attitude and insouciance to his pictures and Anastasia Barbieri‘s styling combines the latest menswear with Basquiat’s signatures, like paint splattered trousers.

Combat Rock

The theme of March’s Vogue Paris, revolves around military influenced styles, so it is no surprise that a number of the editorials inside have an down in the trenches feel. Cedric Buchet drafts Eniko Mihalik for an army influenced editorial that shows off some interesting styling, courtesy of Anastasia Barbieri: working with a palate of khakis and greens, Barbieri manages to create looks that are perfectly in line with the motif.
