First Look: GLASS

June 3rd, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Like any fine piece of crystal, Glass Magazine is innately elegant. The sleek quarterly is back with a new issue bursting with luxurious content that adds a touch of class to the newsstand. Three chic covers feature three very different beauties, each representative of a fashion movement: Chinese actress Li Bing Bing provides classic glamour, while the always edgy Hanne Gaby Odiele is a vision vintage eclecticism, model turned actress Tao Okamoto takes things one step further with a colorful beauty look and a revealing interview inside. Editorially there is plenty to enjoy, from an expressive exploration of the season’s accessories, an especially luxe story featuring perennial favorite Hannelore Knuts, to stylish menswear editorials that show the masculine side of refinement. All in all the magazine is a treat from start to finish, but don’t take our word for it – have a first look at the new issue of Glass.

Let’s DANSK

January 27th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Thomas Penfound astounds on the cover of DANSK‘s latest issue. Drawing inspiration from androgynous icon Annie Lennox’s hit Missionary Man, Aitken Jolly and Anders Solvsten Thomsen transform Thomas into a flame haired beauty. This is the 25th issue of DANSK and the overarching theme is ‘towards uncharted territory’ an idea echoed throughout the content. Inside you’ll also find a few surprising images of Baptiste Giabiconi by Bojana Tatarska and styled by Morgan Hamada Ruiz, as well as this thought provoking quote.

“One day I went up to Karl and said: ‘Why me? What is it you see in me? Why do you only work with me?’ And he told me it’s because he sees something in me that he doesn’t see in other people, something in the way I carry myself. Karl said: ‘I see both a man and a woman in you at the same time.’” - Baptiste Giabiconi

Less is More

September 2nd, 2010 |Posted by contributor

Sometimes less is more is an age old saying that has proved itself true throughout the years. In the September release of Dansk Magazine, Matvey Lykov shows that he needs little more than makeup and a simple accessory to command a photographer’s lens. The Russian model has been a perennial runway favorite, but if you thought you’d seen Matvey from every angle, think again. Bojana Tatarska gives us a rare glimpse at Lykov that is an odd combination of stunning artistic flair and distinctly masculine, brawny overtones. What speaks even more is his ability to shine completely bare next to the stunning Valentino ensemble of the always stunning Charlotte Di Calypso. (story by Gary Mazrek)
