RUSSH Goes Abroad

August 4th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

The always paradisal Russh Magazine relays their Aussie bliss for the rest of us in “The Global Issue”. A message that is gladly received, especially with the sublime, local muse Gemma Ward fronting the issue splendent in a pastel sundown – photographed by Stephen Ward. Prefacing the editorials, editor in chief Jess Blanch hones in on the issue’s message, “Today our universe seems bigger and more giant than ever and yet somehow we’re now all closer than we ever thought possible … Geography is irrelevant. ‘Home’, an adaptable notion. And suddenly we have the power to be everywhere and yet nowhere, at once.” Destinations abound and abroad, the unmistakable streets of Los Angeles serve as a tinsel backdrop for Blair Getz Mezibov‘s editorial with up-and-comer Chloe Wheatcroft. Or travel to the idyllic Swiss Alps and indulge in the beautiful Laura Kampman photographed by Rahel Weiss. This issue also features Russh’s first ever “Men’s Special” with 48 pages of men’s stories like Reuben Ramacher photographed as a man about town by Nick Hudson and styled by Bridie Gilbert. Finally, pristine is the key word for the beauty story with Katryn Kruger, photographed by Matthew Sprout and teamed by Dale Delaporte and Nina Park, all working finely tuned within the realm of shadows and contrast. The rest of the wanderlust inducing stories can be seen in The “Global” issue when it hits stands August 6th.

The Ranger

August 20th, 2014 |Posted by jonathanshia

The summer season is ending and fall is ramping up, a time for new clothes, new trends, and new ideas. Out Magazine kicks off the more serious half of the year with a rich new editorial focusing on animal conservation that pays tribute to Peter Beard and his iconic images of African wildlife. Shot on location in an exotic animal reserve in Northern Florida, industry veteran Kevin Rice plays the rugged adventurer, communing with giraffes, zebras, and lemurs in the new season’s sturdiest and sharpest outerwear. Shot by Blair Getz Mezibov (Visual Artist UK ) with styling by Grant Woolhead (Jed Root) and grooming by Carolina Dali (See Management), the story puts gorgeous images to a good cause, a look ahead, we hope, of what’s to come. Back to the 80’s

December 10th, 2013 |Posted by victoria

It’s quite obvious where the vision behind this shoot for GQ China came from- after all, who doesn’t love a good 80’s movie? Though photographed on location in current day Brooklyn by Blair Getz Mezibov; models Cole Mohr, Edward Wilding, Matt Mcglone, Paolo AnchisiRyan Kennedy, and Anna Schilling are seemingly transported three decades back in their Risky Business/Pretty in Pink/Sixteen Candles inspired looks styled by Luke Day. Go back to the 80’s below and yes that IS a Delorean in the last shot.

Mr. Chow

May 23rd, 2012 |Posted by Betty

GQ China pays homage to the legendary Michael Chow in a super chic story by Blair Getz Mezibov. Marcus Teo styles Tony Thornburg who perfectly channels the famous restaurateur/actor, who became famous in the 70’s and 80’s for his restaurants populated by the likes of David Bowie, Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Mr Chow has a long time association with fashion, once married to Grace Coddington, then to 70’s fashion icon Tina Chow and currently to Eva Chun. Brad Kroenig anchors a stellar cast of modeling veterans and exciting new faces in the latest issue of Vogue China Men. Rising star photographer Blair Getz Mezibov creates a moody atmosphere where you can almost smell the salt air on the season’s nautically inspired pieces styled by Marcus Teo. Chad White, Ryan Koning, Seijo Imazaki, Simon Tham, Zack Clark, Marc G, Yuri Pleskun and Rob Thurston are the gorgeous crew and join Scott Jordan as the Captain who of course prevails in the end.
