Ben Toms brings out the softer side of Meghan Collison for Vogue Russia  in a feminine story styled by Katie Shillingford. With cat-eye glasses and a series of Syd Hayes crafted coifs, Meghan is a vision of 1950s kitsch perfection: Bettie Page would be proud.

Chameleon Mix

Robbie Spencer‘s unique styling never fades into the background, but in Ben Toms‘s latest story for Dazed & Confused, Spencer’s colorful mish mash of patterns is perfectly matched with Simon Costin‘s set design. The striking Yannick Abrath wears everything from Prada’s cartoonish golf prints to Givenchy’s surfer inspired s/s gear in this visual overload of an editorial.

In A Daze

Ben Toms shoots a colorful and kinetic story for Dazed & Confused featuring girl of the moment, Saskia de Brauw. The out of sight styling by Jacob K, mixes print and pattern for a fresh spin on some of the season’s popular pieces, while hair and makeup by Shon and Hiromi Ueda, add to the overall feeling of off-kilter cool. We can’t help but love Saskia in this and those studded flats that feature prominently.

Dazed and Confused‘s latest issue pays tribute to the Asian fashion explosion with a beautiful story by Ben Toms. Muted colors and sharp silhouettes are a recurring theme, but Robbie Spencer‘s ornate styling is the standout. Daiane Conterato, Jaco van den Hoven & Willy Cartier look like works of art in Toms’ striking images.

Ben Toms takes models back to the days of hippies, with a 60s inspired story for Dazed and Confused. Amanda Norgaard, Douglas Neitzke and Kirill Vasilev lead a pack of beauties as they explore the a classic English garden, while wearing vintage style chapeaus and furs. The authentic look of the photos owes much to stylist Robbie Spencer‘s smart choices – who would have thought that Margiela could look so antique?

Ranya Mordanova makes her way to the pages of Dazed & Confused, with an editorial that showcases Spring’s edgy side. Shot by Ben Toms and styled by Katie Shillingford, the story presents fashionable looks from Gaultier, Margiela and Gareth Pugh, in a manner that is atypical; the unconventional designs manage to look ethereal and different from how they were presented on the runway. Shillingford’s excellent styling is a big of what makes this story, but Ranya’s ability to add idiosyncrasy to every picture, adds to the enjoyment.

Tough Love

Anna de Rijk is one of the prettiest new faces to emerge in a while but Dazed and Confused takes the Dutch beauty to a whole other level in their July issue. Ditching the straightforward pretty and going for a tough, punk rock influenced look Anna displays a knack for change. In the black and white series by Ben Toms manages to take on three haircolors, an array of spiked and studded ensembles and some truly intense neckware – stylist Katie Shillingford, truly outdid herself this time around.
