Desert Song

March 24th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Boo George.
Beat Bolliger (Art Partner).
Isabeli Fontana.
Vogue China.

In the midst of the dessert a vision of glamour emerges. Isabeli lends her showgirl panache to George’s atmospheric images as Bolliger works in an array of eye-catching pieces from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Agent Provocateur. Sequins, marabou feathers and other exquisite details abound but when these luxurious trappings are paired with the faded, dreamlike style of the photographs it creates a haunting mood.

Season to Season

November 15th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The collections come to life in the pages of V Magazine with Sølve Sundsbø and Kacper Kasprzyk shooting resort and couture respectively. A good fashion story never goes out of style and V offers up two distinctive takes on dressing – with Beat Bolliger (Art Partner) styling a sleek resort selection using pieces from Bottega VenetaBurberry and Céline on Zlata Mangafic to create a fashion focused studio shoot with style. Tom Van Dorpe (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) pulls out all the eveningwear stops with his couture selection, utilizing the best  of Valentino and Dior to great effect in Kasprzyk’s moody images, while Manon Leloup pulls off the couture looks perfectly. Take a look at both stories and a special video from the resort shoot.

First Look : Blown Away

July 9th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Anyone who paid close attention to the collections can tell you about the season’s biggest trend – volume, but few can bring it to life the way V Magazine can. Sølve Sundsbø and Beat Bolliger take the larger than life proportions glimpsed on the runway and capture them in all their expansive glory on the back of Suvi Koponen. Luxe pieces from Giorgio ArmaniPradaDior and Chanel are showcased in glorious fashion and the explosive hair by Didier Malige works perfectly with the voluminous theme.

Strike A Pose

March 14th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Posing – it seems simple enough, but in reality it takes talent. Anyone can pout with their hand on their hip, but it takes a true model to emote. Who better to illustrate a guide on the art of the pose, than industry icon Kirsten Owen a model known for her ability to elevate the editorial pages into the realm of art. Benjamin Alexander Huseby shoots Kirsten in a series of black and white portraits styled by Beat Bolliger for The GentlewomanExploring the “semiotics of posing” the story is a stylish showcase for Owen’s talents and Huseby’s evocative shots call to mind the studio portraits of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Homme Goods

March 14th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Sean O’Pry.
David Sims.
Vogue Hommes International.

The iconic men’s publication rediscovers the power of having a model on its cover – sure we would have liked to see a corresponding editorial, but when you’ve got Sean, Sims & some white on white styling courtesy of Beat Bolliger you don’t need anything more.

Meanwhile on Vogue Hommes Japan, a male model dream team shot by Terry Richardson makes the cover. Allen Taylor, Dae Na, Justin Halley and the stunning Stenmark twins (Jordan & Zac) wear matching tuxes in the sleek shot styled by Nicola Formichetti.
