Vogue takes on the pastel trend with a spirited story by Raymond Meier featuring Anais Pouliot. Accessories take center stage as Elissa Santisi breaks out the big guns with pieces from YSL, Prada and Proenza. A wide arrange of luxurious tech add-ons also feature, because who doesn’t need a Valentino case for their Blackberry?

As always Anais brings her combo of girlish sweetness and sensuality to the table, making her first only girl Vogue story a standout.

A Blue Kiss

January 19th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Ming Xi, Kate King, Anais Pouliot and Karo Mrozkova headline Vogue Russia‘s  February issue with a sultry shot by Patrick Demarchelier, but what were really loving is the beauty mood of the corresponding editorial. Fulvia Farolfi creates a standout royal blue lip on the girls, while Laurent Philippon provides the undone hair. Combine these elements with Ekaterina Mukhina‘s elegant styling and you’ve got a story that pops off the page. Looking to recreate the daring blue pout for yourself? Give Makeup Forever’s Flash Color case a try.

Each issue of Grey Magazine is crafted with a thoughtfulness and artistry that you don’t see much anymore. We’re in love with the fall issue’s cover of Anais Pouliot and Codie Young shot by Chadwick Tyler and styled by Valentina Ilardi MartinThe stark image creates a soulful mood and brings out the beauty in both girls. Also impressive, Tyler’s 40 page story shot in the Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart. Enjoy this little preview of what the issue has to offer.

En Vogue

July 18th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

No offense to cover girl Sarah Jessica Parker, but we like our American Vogue best when it focuses on models. Steven Meisel‘s winning feature in the August edition is a good example of why: featuring 10 of the best girls working, styled to the nines by Marie-Amélie Sauvé, the studio shoot is a gorgeous showcase for the best seasonal wares; a Celine blouse worn with a Fendi fur and a Dries skirt – pretty impressive combo.

The mix of favorite faces is also serves as a great way to illustrate issue’s Age theme. Kristen McMenamy, Karen Elson, and Audrey Marnay join newbies like Anais Pouliot and Fei Fei Sun and each shot looks great. That said, the range of ages could be even greater – wouldn’t it have been nice if Vogue had pushed the casting mix one step further and included Carmen dell’Orefice?
