Vogue Vixen

April 30th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Though she’s currently appearing in America’s number 1 movie, Kate Upton shows she hasn’t given up the day job just yet with an appearance on the cover of British Vogue. Shot by Mario Testino (Art Partner) and featuring Upton looking retro chic in a high waisted floral bikini and beachy hair the cover is the perfect segue into summer. Inside Testino shoots Upton in the sporty swimsuits, while fellow model multi-hyphenate Alexa Chung serves to interview Kate about her famous figure and burgeoning film career.

El Bambi

October 24th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Never underestimate the power of a well placed bit of cartoon magic; each season Riccardo Tisci comes up with at least one Givenchy must have that makes a splash and for the last few months its been all about Bambi. The opening look of the designer’s critically lauded fall collection was a Disney inspired sweatshirt that added touch of twee to the typically hard-edged Givenchy look and instantly became a cult status symbol. The signature piece has been making waves in magazines of late with the Bambi shirt appearing on the cover of Vogue Japan, the newly launched Miss Vogue AustraliaVogue China and Madame Figaro, not to mention inside appearances in i-D Magazine & V Magazine. Add in the fact that this little number has also been spotted on the backs of everyone from Beyoncé Knowles to Carine Roitfeld and you have the makings of a moment.

The Dark Arts

June 14th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Though it may just be June, Fall/Winter 10 campaign images are starting to materialize. Visually, black and white or a predominant black background seems to be the preferred choice for fall (unsurprisingly) and from these four images, it looks like the handsome man is favored for the upcoming season joining the sexy girl. What’s your favorite campaign so far?

Dsquared2 F/W 10 by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Tyler Kenyon, Iris Strubegger, Alla Kostromichova .

Clement Chabernaud for Gianfranco Ferre F/W 10.

Roman Ivancic, Vladimir Ivanov, Bette Franke for Lacoste F/W 10

The 10th issue of influential style bible, Acne Paper is cause for celebration and the publication hosted an intimate gathering this week, attended by fashion luminaries like Olivier Zahm, and the boys of Proenza, as well as cover stars Mirte Maas and Natasa Vojnovic. With an exceptionally strong cover and a reputation for being on of the most cutting edge magazines on the scene right now, Acne certainly has reason to celebrate.
