The Provocateur

December 16th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Agent Provocateur ads have always had a way of pushing buttons, but this season’s lineup takes things one step further with a high fashion romp through the oeuvre of cinematic legends. Ellen von Unwerth takes a page from David Lynch and Brian DePalma’s playbook for her steamy shots of Naomi Campbell, which subtly nod to Lost Highway and Body Double respectively.  Creative director Sarah Shotton‘s cinéaste sensibilities are reflected in the direction of the ads and the eye-catching selection of lingerie. Naomi plays the role of femme fatale with an ease that suggests she’s perfectly capable not just seduction, but a little mayhem too.

A Touch of Pink

April 23rd, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

As one of modeling’s premier sex symbols Adriana Lima is notable in part for her ability to convey sensuality in her photographs. Even in a jeans an a t-shirt Lima manages to bring an elegant carnality in front of the camera, so when she’s wearing barely there selections from Agent Provocateur and Miu Miu she’s downright irresistible. Miguel Reveriego taps into Lima’s sensuous side for Vogue Espana with a cover story shot against an idyllic beach backdrop and featuring a Belen Antolin selected array of pale rose ensembles, each one more revealing than the last. True to form Lima amps up the seductiveness – making the pastel hued designer wares look downright delectable.

Desert Song

March 24th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Boo George.
Beat Bolliger (Art Partner).
Isabeli Fontana.
Vogue China.

In the midst of the dessert a vision of glamour emerges. Isabeli lends her showgirl panache to George’s atmospheric images as Bolliger works in an array of eye-catching pieces from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Agent Provocateur. Sequins, marabou feathers and other exquisite details abound but when these luxurious trappings are paired with the faded, dreamlike style of the photographs it creates a haunting mood.

Beauty & the Beast

February 20th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

A tale as old as time! Beautiful young woman, a ravenous beast and Karl Lagerfeld? Continuing with their theme of fairytales CR Fashion Book unleashes another modern take on a classic story with Kate Upton and Marlon Teixeira re-imagining Beauty & the Beast with a luxury twist. Karl shoots and Kate dons an assortment of sensual looks complete with Agent Provocateur lingerie and a touch of Chanel joaillerie for good measure. Though it’s hard to see anything even remotely off-putting about a Givenchy clad Marlon Teixeira, the story provides the right mix of fantasy and fashion.
