The Look of Hans Feurer

May 24th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

As fashion’s foremost purveyor of nomad chic, Hans Feurer‘s images are unmistakable. Though his body of work is diverse, the pictures that stand out most tend to feature a series of Feurer signatures; layered undone styling, exotic locations and bold tribal makeup. Look at his latest stories for Vogue Paris and Vogue Japan respectively and you’ll see all the trademarks of his aesthetic. VP’s Karmen Pedaru story goes for a harder edge, while his images of Constance Jablonski are all about highlighting her refined beauty, but both stories hinge on variations of the same idea. Take a glimpse back at Feurer’s work over the years and see how he developed the style he’s now known for.

2012 – Karmen Pedaru for Vogue Paris

2012 – Constance Jablonski for Vogue Japan

2011 – Jourdan Dunn for Vogue Paris

2011 – Natasha Poly for Vogue Paris

2010 – Tony Ward for GQ Style Germany

2008 – Erin Heatherton for Muse Magazine

2008 – Scott Barnhill

2007 Jessica Miller for Self Service no. 27

2001 – Erin Wasson for Vogue Paris

1991 – Beverly Peele for Elle France

1983 – American Vogue

1983 – Kenzo

He’s Grrrreaat!

August 18th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

The one and only Tony Ward scores 10 Men’s Fall cover photographed by Richard Burbridge and almost all the inside pages photographed by Burbridge, Christian Anwander, Niall O’Brien, Marcelo Krasilcic, Paul Wetherell and more . With all the recent hoopla about “older” women garnering many of the September covers, it’s wonderful to see the dynamic British fashion mag giving the iconic chameleon his moment in the sun. Read more about his fabulous bio on 10 Men’s blog, and how they adore him.

True Colors

May 25th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Russh never fails to deliver an inspiring cover concept and this month’s issue, featuring the lovely Ieva Laguna and the iconic Tony Ward, is a sight to behold. The sexy shots by Will Davidson are colorful, kinetic and filled with incredible styling by Stevie Dance. The energy that the entire team brings to the story can be felt in each picture; Christian McCulloch‘s vivid makeup highlights Ieva’s pristine look and Leonardo Manetti‘s hair creations seem just right, even as the models are being doused with paint.

Mr. Ward

April 6th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Tony Ward continues to push the boundaries: the always expressive Mr. Ward stars in Maciek Kobielski‘s sexy series for Vogue Hommes International and shows off quite a bit of skin. There is just something about Tony, whether he is stripped down to his Calvins or sporting a Dior Homme tux, Tony remains one of the most original and dynamic forces in male modeling.

Tony Ward, is one of male modeling’s icons; his electric personality and skin in front of the camera have kept him in the limelight for over a decade: but there is more to Mr. Ward than just modeling. As a true jack of all trades, Tony has done everything from acting, to designing and now, painting. Last night Ward and actor Daniel Louis Rivas debuted their “Zoo Heads are Better Than None” exhibition at Los Angeles’ GhettoGloss Gallery. The show featured Tony and Daniel’s unique abstract art and kicked off the gallery’s exciting Twelve Days of Christmas event.

For more of Tony’s artwork, be sure to check out his official website.

Uncensored!

July 17th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Tony Ward is one of fashion’s great risk takers. With his no holds barred attitude, unforgettable look and willingness to push any and all boundaries, Ward has become one of the industry’s most iconic male models. The latest photo story for Contributing Editor gets to the root of why Ward remains one of fashion’s most notorious figures. Hugh Lippe‘s intimate photographs capture the essence of Ward’s libertine appeal, showing Tony looking as suggestive, carefree and sinful as ever.
