Speaking of Miami, head over to Model Lounge Miami at the Delano launching the week of December 3rd. HOWEVER, you must be female and you must be at a top Miami/New York agency. If you are, click here to see all the benefits you get.

Tomorrow must be National Model Search day (we kid). Don’t forget if you’re in New York or LA, head over to Ford’s Model search happening simultaeously in both cities. The winner will be the US finalist for the Ford Supermodel of the World contest in January 2010.

Fashion and photography:
For all you young hungry fashionistas, this is called paying your dues and really learning one’s craft. Click here to see Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz’s valuable lesson.

Watching Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in action and hearing Rena from W narrate makes this video a gem.

Hello Solve Sundsbo interview over at Showstudio… For those of you who don’t know, Solve assisted Nick Knight back in the day.

We’re just posting this because the story is just too fascinating, “The Dandies of Sub Saharan Africa.

Models:
Brazilian boy watch. Mauricio is 18 and looks like a young movie star. Jayme looks (in the words of VGL) like a young Matt Dillon meets JFK Jr. Hotness.

Elite New York’s posted pics of their top models as babies. Too cute.  I think we all know which one is Damaris, though.

Did you know there’s another fabulous Hamish in the biz? The VS extravaganza we just witnessed was directed by Hamish Hamilton who by the way is at the helm of the 2010 Academy Awards ceremony as well as recently directing the MTV Video Music Awards.

Northern Exposure

April 22nd, 2009 |Posted by Betty @ MODELS.com

Before the Vogue covers, international campaigns and the “Stam” bag for Marc Jacobs, Jessica Stam was the girl next door in Ontario. Michelle Miller, owner of International Model Management scouted Stam at a coffee shop and Victoria’s Secret beauty Andi Muse at a shopping centre in Canada, changing their lives forever. In 10 days, on May 3rd 2009, the 15th annual Cover Model search by Michele in Barrie, Ontario, Canada takes place. The big NYC agencies (IMG, DNA Models, Women Model Management, Next Models NY, Elite New York, Ford Models, Wilhelmina New York just to name a few) will be there to participate and see Canada’s finest. Go to their site now to participate or see pics from last year’s event.

Kloss Is Boss

August 25th, 2008 |Posted by Janelle

The Kloss reign continues as everyone’s favorite All American teen queen graces the cover of September Russh. Wearing Rodarte with flair and giving one of her signature coy glances it’s easy to see just why Karlie continues to be a girl in demand.

Bohemian Rhapsody

July 28th, 2008 |Posted by Janelle

It seems like September issues hit newsstands earlier and earlier each year. It’s only July and already we’re being treated to some of the best in fall content. Numero Tokyo showcases the ever chic Anna Maria Jagodzinska in beatnik Gucci on its fall cover while inside it predicts the next round of major modeling stars. Anna makes the list, naturally.
