A Girl Named Heidi

May 11th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Love her or hate her Heidi Klum has accomplished what few models have ever dared to. More than a decade in the game and a hit TV show have garnered Klum the kind of celebrity that extends past fashion and into the general public consciousness. This month Vogue Germany pays tribute to one of its brightest stars via an all Heidi issue. The theme ‘Heidi by Vogue’ promises to display the commercial queen in a considerably more high fashion context and editorials by Alexi Lubomirski, Paola Kudacki, Knoepfel & Indlekofer and Francesco Carrozzini show us a different side of Ms. Klum.

When just your name attached to a project will guarantee coverage on all media fronts, you have officially become a Model Mogul. These are some of our favorite top 4 MM: Tyra Banks (her TV shows), Kate Moss (her collections for Topshop), Gisele Bundchen (her line of swimsuits and her acting) and of course everyone’s favorite German, Heidi Klum (Project Runway and pictured below, her line of premium denim for Jordache). Welcome to the new breed of supermodels.

Heidi Klum by Ruven

June 9th, 2008 |Posted by Betty

Heidi’s new Citizen K cover is generating a lot of positive feedback from the diehard fashion fans. We’ve gotten so used to HK as the “brand”, covers like this are a welcome treat and show an editorial side to her that’s rarely seen anymore. The photographer, Ruven Afanador is a longtime favorite of fashion devotees and shoots regularly for the New Yorker and the NY Times.
