The Search Goes On

March 27th, 2013 |Posted by models.com

It’s that time of year again- the V Man/Ford Models search. Since 2008 VMAN has partnered with Ford Models to seek out the next famous face in men’s fashion. Once a year, entrants from around the world submit to the search online for the chance to sign with Ford and be on the cover of VMAN. Past winners include Clark Cord, Joseph Dolce, and Calvin Klein underwear/fragrance model-of-the-moment, Matthew Terry. The winner will be photographed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld for the cover of VMAN 30, the magazine’s upcoming tenth anniversary issue. Look for the unveiling of the winner’s cover this summer and follow the search on Twitter at #shotbyKarl and #VMANFordSearch. (Text: Matt Meyer)

River’s Edge

March 6th, 2013 |Posted by models.com

Performance is trending this season and V Man is not one to miss out. In an homage to the great Nureyev, the men’s mag presents fresh face Dylan River in “Perform,” a set of graceful images by Collier Schorr. With Jay Massacret styling, Dylan is the perfect match for fashion’s dance moment, taking center stage in a variety of organic poses. Fresh from signing with Ford Models and walking Prada and Rag & Bone, Dylan asserts himself in his first editorial as a man of the moment. (Text: Matt Meyer)

Winners Circle

July 22nd, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Vman Magazine and Ford Models‘s annual modeling contest never fails to excite with its selection of handsome fresh faces and the 2011 eleven winners New Jersey’s Matthew Terry and Indiana’s Clark Cord look phenomenal on Steven Klein‘s dual covers. The Archetypes Issue tagline promises an “inventory of masculinity” and though were not quite sure what that is hinting at, we’re always happy to see fresh faces on magazine covers.

The Prada Persuasion

June 17th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Miuccia Prada keeps us on our toes; whether that is with idiosyncratic collections, or one of a kind imagery depends on the day, but one could never accuse camp Prada of being boring. This season’s campaign is a testament to the brand’s ability to think outside the box, their F/W image is all about the next generation of modeling stars. As such you will find no familiars amongst the stunning cast (well maybe just one – budding supermodel Frida Gustavsson also stars) Ashley Brokaw went in search of girls with the Prada je ne sais quoi, that certain special something that has defined the brand’s faces from Sasha Pivovarova to Daria Werbowy. Only the newest of the new need apply – some of the campaign’s stars haven’t even walked shows yet.

In the first snaps to hit the internet the gorgeous Kelly Mittendorf (Marilyn) gives a star making turn in a beautiful shot by Steven Meisel. The image is pure Prada and Kelly’s one of a kind look is certain to grab the attention of casting directors and model fans alike. BONUS: Gorgeous newcomers Ondria Hardin (Ford) and Antonia Wesseloh (Ford) make equally alluring debuts in the campaign’s two new images!

This very second, models from around the world are descending in droves upon NYC. One young man who doesn’t have far to travel is 17 year old Briane (pronounced Brian) Hatcher from Queens, New York. Casting director Michelle Lee is a fan of the music loving student booking him 2 consecutive seasons for the Marc by Marc Jacobs shows. With the appearance of his first major campaign and set to model full time this summer, it looks like it’s going to be quite a year for Mr. Hatcher.
