“Monsters Inc.”

Love Magazine – ‘The Collections’ from Yvan Fabing on Vimeo.

Love Magazine‘s 5th anniversary issue, otherwise known as “The Sweetie Issue” is currently out on newsstands with an assortment of exciting and perhaps unexpected covers to collect, from Rosie Huntington Whiteley to Cara Delevingne to Minnie Mouse. Covers aside, however, it’s the fall fashion inside the magazine that has captured our attention- photographer Sølve Sundsbø‘s “Monsters Inc.” shoot to be exact. The playful editorial, styled by Panos Yiapanis, features some of our favorite models, some established and others fresh-faced, in an array of wild prints and textures, along with fierce styles that just wouldn’t be complete without fur, metallics, and sequins. The entire story is brought to life in an energetic video by Yvan Fabing, with a killer soundtrack courtesy of Brooke Candy. We hope you’re just as excited as we are to try out these very ‘monstrous’ looks this fall.

Models: Anne Vyalitsyna, Erika Wall, Julia Nobis, Joanna Tatarka, Kirsten Owen, Malaika Firth, Ondria Hardin, Rebeca Marcos, Stella Tennant, Sybil Buck

Vogue Russia‘s November issue devotes itself to the latest couple to merge the best of music and fashion – the stunning Anne Vyalitsyna and her boyfriend Maroon 5′s Adam Levine. Unforgettable

October 4th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Revlon, the iconic makeup brand of the classic Richard Avedon ads featuring supermodels, returns to form with a gorgeous new campaign starring Anne Vyalitsyna. Actresses are cute, but no one beats a model when it comes to selling the beauty ideal. With smoky eyes and a plum pout by Gucci Westman, Anne looks every bit as unforgettable as the classic Revlon beauties of yesteryear.

Muse Magazine steams it up with their summer issue and a sexy story by Harri Peccinotti. The slinky 70s style pin-up feature stars  Anne Vyalitsyna, Shannan Click, Behati Prinsloo, Heather Marks, Valentina Zeliaeva, Marloes Horst and Hannah Holman in the tiniest of bikinis chosen by stylist Susan Winget; the vibe is very vintage and Anne is the ultimate temptress on that come hither cover.

Bits & Bytes: Charlie on the go!

March 31st, 2011 |Posted by Betty

Charlie by Craig Arend.

Did you know model Charlie Paille graduated with a major in fashion design and has her own clothing line? Craig Arend, the “Models Off Duty” photographer follows the Canadian around for the day.

Many girls in America grew up reading Seventeen. I certainly did. If you’re between the ages of 15-22, check out their “Pretty Amazing” contest to be on the cover of the magazine! It’s very easy to enter – just write a short essay on your accomplishments and why you are pretty amazing and you get a chance for the COVER – and also a $10,000 scholarship. Miranda Cosgrove and Just Jared’s Jared Eng are 2 of the judges. 5 finalists get to come to New York.

The super talented hat designer Heather Huey whose creations were (seen in our recent Siki Im fashion week story) has a studio sale this Saturday, check it out.

Anna Dello Russo is so awesome, she gives us her top 10 tips on how to dress if you’re going to the nuptials of the 2 fabulous Kates (Middleton and Moss). We’re going, aren’t you? So kidding.

New designer Sara Badaarani’s F/W 11 collection is a breath of fresh air, declares Sans Artifice. We certainly concur, looking at these strong yet ultra feminine clothes.

Is it me or is everyone under the age of 30 sporting these headphones by Dr. Dre? Check out Charlie Westerberg, sporting them, in these Andrew Weir photographs for Jeffrey Fashion Cares.

Attention fashion fiends, Carven‘s first boutique opens in Paris at 36 rue Saint Sulpice. Designed to look more like a living space than a traditional store, the elegant space boasts the full selection of accessories and ensembles by Guillaume Henry. Fun fact, the visual identity of Carven’s new store was created by Eric Chevallier, the man behind Colette’s atmospheric and funky feel.

Our favorite young art directors, Magnus Berger and Tenzin Wild (also founders of The Last Magazine), designed this logo (below) for this weekend’s Fashion Girls for Japan sample sale/fundraiser. From the organizer, Kanako: “In effort to show our support for the recent earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan and also to cheer up our friends and families in Japan, a mega sample sale will be held on April 2nd and 3rd at Bowery Hotel. More than 60 New York based designers are donating samples to raise money.”
