Sublime!
April 12th, 2010 Janelle comments (46)Sometimes everything just comes together flawlessly: Alana Zimmer, stars in a perfectly executed Vogue Italia editorial by Greg Lotus. Set against an incredible cave backdrop, the story features Alana in ornate gold jewelry, unusual hair looks by Antoinette Beenders and monochromatic makeup by Stephen Dimmick. Each element, with flawless styling by Danny Santiago, adds to the dreamy feel of the images and helps to create a truly memorable story that highlights Alana’s regal beauty.

It’s an interesting editorial of Alana. It’s dark, mysterious and strong at the same time. She shows different facial expressions and attitude in front of the camera. It’s great

Amazing. The first time I looked at the fourth photo, it seemed as if the rock was part of the dress and as if Alana were floating.

Gustavo, there is a lot to consider when choosing your location. There are permits to consider, National parks, Rangers, etc. and in those slot canyons, the danger of flash floods (depending on when you shoot). Also you have to consider where you base crew and how easily you can get your girl to and from with Hair, Make up and wardrobe, how long you have light, etc.
I think the images are great and he made excellent use of the location. The images are definitely not repetitive.

I am in awe of the creativity and vivacity of the images. This is in a league of its own; this image is a work of art and out of this world.
The model accentuates the photo very well; this is a beautiful image.

Beautiful light, color tone, setting and mood in this. The model is strong, but the styling really makes it more than the model, in my view.

Ohh wonderful!! Alana will never be out of work with a face like that, truly one of the very few models who bears a resemblance to Christy Turlington.

Reminds me of historical relics. Looks like she’s caught in an issue of National Geographic. The background coordinates with her look but it’s overdone, blending her into the mysterious nothingness.

I second that Carola!! She very much so gives me Christy Turlington. Such a gorgeous girl! Alana always turns it out, when she turns up. I still think she is one of the most underrated models on the market though..
