Whether it is the ethereal, Georgina Stojiljkovic posing with a very happy sloth or Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Marloes Horst looking pristine on white sand beaches; each picture is provocative yet playful.

Roaie and Marloes are stunning.. so fresh and beautiful! Meranda is gorgeous too, but angel of the shot makes it look like her shorts are being eaten between her legs. Not the look!

Eeek, I don’t know how familiar you are with Pirelli but traditionally, the calendar features nudity. Hence the topless pictures. Perhaps the pictures are not to your taste but nudity has always been a part of the calendar itself.

Janelle, I know all too well that nudity is part of the Pirelli calendar tradition. My point is that ALL TR did was pose a model with her top off and shoot the camera. Other photogs have done it but in a way that’s actually artistic and creative. I could not care less about the girls being nude. They’re all over 18 I presume. But these pix are just boring and sophomoric.

eeek, Happy Thanksgiving, I really just think its Terry’s snapshot style at work. This is exactly what I expected when I heard Terry would be shooting for Pirelli. I do understand what you mean about a more artistic viewpoint, from a personal standpoint, my favorite Pirelli calendars have been Nick Knight and Mert & Marcus’ which take the theme into a very arty place.
That said, I think that what is so fun about the calendar is that each year were treated to a different POV that really represents the photographer. This is very Terry and I like that about it.

obviously Vogue would not use these, because Vogue is crap. These pictures are a little too avante garde for American Vogue, which uses the same formula, and the same bland models each month. These are exciting pictures, and they show tits, so it would probably be Vogue Italia that would take the risk, although these weren’t even meant for a mag, they were meant for something different.

This is not exciting, different, avante garde or anything of the sort. It’s bland. If it wasn’t for the fact that the girls in the photos are supermodels, this could be any old glamour or soft porn shoot – I’ve seen the other shots from the calendar as well and some of them are even worse. It doesn’t push boundaries, it’s not exciting, it’s lame and actually made me uncomfortable, and not because of the nudity, which I don’t have a problem with, but because it’s pretending to be something high-end and fabulous when it’s just uncreative smut. I feel cheated! These girls deserve so much more in a photographer. Terry Richardson is so overrated it’s not funny. Ooh super-saturated images of nudity in standard smut poses, edgy! At least he didn’t go for his usual white wall as background this time around. For actual talent when it comes to a Pirelli calendar check out 1996 & 2002 by Peter Lindbergh, 1998 by Bruce Weber, 1999 by Herb Ritts, 2005 & 2008 by Patrick Demarchelier, and the best ever, 2006 by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. Now that is actual art.

this is HOT, but all in all I prefer a more artistic Pirelli calendar than this. Something with a story or at least even a theme. This is beautiful women with beautiful bodies nude in a beautiful location. But that’s about it.

I am not a fan of Mr. Richardson’s work, he does add an interesting twist to the Pirelli Calendar.
