Did It Again
November 3rd, 2009 Janelle comments (25)There is only one way to top an impressive Vogue Italia cover – show up in the next issue looking even better. Rianne Ten Haken was sexy on the cover of October’s extravaganza but for November Steven Meisel takes her into a stronger territory. With flame red hair and a maniacal grin Rianne heads into a twisted world reminiscent of sci-thriller Safe, even with the dramatic backdrop its hard to take your eyes off Miss Ten Haken.

VERY strong cover indeed. Rianne’s face and features are very strong. She reminds me of 90s Canadian model Stacy……something………help me out Betty or Janelle. (I cant think of her last name.) She kind of gives you redhead in a different aspect from Karen, Karli, and Coco; even more edgy, almost ‘over-the-top’. Since she is so inspiring to Mr. Meisel these days, I wonder how many Meisel helmed campaigns will follow for Miss Taken come SS10.

Reminds me back in the 90′s when Sibyl Buck/Company Models and Alice Dodd had the fire engine red hair….

really truly loved the editorial, loved the cover choice and love the Versace ads with Rianne from years ago. (I say it once again) its soo nice to have the girls that started years and years ago back in the business. I havent seen anything consistent from Rianne in the last 3 years, thank God Meisel is giving this girl´s career the right direction. Plus, im loving this red-hair trend!! The gingers out there have so much sex appeal =)
And no matter what people might say, but Vogue Italia is THE fashion magazine. No Vogue Paris, no Numero, Vogue Italia knows how to provoke us and always deliver the utmost in fashion.

What’s up with Meisel? Does he get bored with his models then 5 years later he suddenly likes them again? Anyway, I always loved Rianne, such a different and strong face, it’s hard not to be captivated by her.
I wouldn’t mind a Delfine Bafort comeback, she was my favorite back in the day.

This cover is so filled with emotions… sometimes I wish I can read Italian and French, just so I won’t just buy Vogue Italia and Vogue Paris for the images… even though the images alone already do justice to my purchase!

Rianne is so fierce.
And she has a body to die for.
Hope she keeps fronting the best fashion mags like she well deserves.

Meisel and Klein always seem to push the boundaries when shooting vogue italia cover stories. I love the different retouching techniques and effects they experiment with.
