Prada’s Pastiche

May 21st, 2014 Posted by Janelle comments (5)

Miuccia Prada‘s fall collection offered a subversive take on the films of Fassbinder and all things connected with German art, so it seems fitting that the corresponding campaign is equally esoteric. Mica Arganaraz and Karl Kolbitz pose against a backdrop of brutalist architecture as Steven Meisel shoots the duo looking aloof and oh so elegant. Prada is known for its inventive campaigns and quirky videos, so this seasons reserved almost severe imagery feels like a refreshing change of pace.

amazing. i mean, mica looks like a star. iconic vibe. and again, prada did it. when u are specting a colorful campaign with a cool video, she gives u this: super minimalist + meisel + stunning new face

Finally Meisel decided to think for the Prada campaign. His recent studios ones were so thoughtless. I like this setting.

I see René Descartes in it Miuccia – I am Descartes forever – and the Models breathe the raw architecture .
