Bits & Bytes: Hail to McQueen
October 7th, 2009 Betty @ MODELS.com comments (12)

As important as it is to be able to “wear” fashion, there must be that side to it that thrills us. Alexander Mcqueen certainly did that with his S/S 10 collection. From Lady Gaga twittering to the live streaming by Nick Knight’s Showstudio (for video, click here), people certainly love them some McQueen. Besides his wondrous collection though, as Sarah Mower from Style.com says: “the way he’s embracing new computer technologies and the drama of the moving image puts him at the leading edge of change.”
Check out Jezebel’s uber witty, yet still reverent notes about Alexander McQueen’s collection.

New face Alend from Next Company in Vienna is very old school male supermodel.

We like new faces Selena Petrovic and Sylwia.
Ponyryder interviews Anna de Rijk, the Dutch sensation!
Anna Dello Russo, up close and personal, is pretty damn fabulous.
Stephen Gan gets lucky! Guess which icon he gets seated next to at YSL?
See what fashion week is like in the busy life of Jimmy Paul, top hairstylist.
Sorry, ladies, Alexi Lubomirski ties the knot. The handsome and totally charming photographer marries Giada in a castle in Poland. How GLAMOROUS!
Is this The Sartorialist for children? All we know is, in 20-30 years, these are the future fashion crowd at Planet Awesome Kid.
Words of wisdom from Anna Wintour to aspiring fashionistas.
See the video on Ones2Watch of new face Meg McCabe.

*Sigh* You and me both Gustavo…you and me both.. Your sentiment just about sums it up.. What a face. He’ll grow into an unbelievably beautiful man. Sean and Baptiste have got some trouble in the water. Bajayzus!
Probably too much face for Calvin but Dolce will snatch this one up for sure. More photos on his agency website.
That fisrt image from McQueen would be the perfect editorial, panned out & away from the subject and set on a sand dune in the Arabian Desert. Mind numbing!
Someone will buy the shoes. They are quite stunning to say the least, not the most wearable perhaps but so what?!

None of the girls tumbled so they can’t be that bad to walk in. Compared to Prada last year where the shoes looked fine yet every other girl stumbled!
