First Lady

The most surprising thing about W Magazine‘s FLOTUS inspired fashion story starring Naomi Campbell is that it took so long to appear. MIchelle Obama has been global tastemaker for years so it seems only natural that one of the industry’s leading publications would find editorial inspiration in her signature style. Willy Vanderperre‘s photographs always have a quiet beauty and his style works well here, while Edward Enninful perfectly captures Mrs. Obama’s streamlined sophistication with his styling. Using a mix of demure pieces from Nina RicciGiorgio ArmaniPrada and Dior, Enninful creates a wardrobe fit for a first lady. As always Naomi is a pro in front of the camera and radiates poise in every shot.

I am not sure whether they were trying to make her look like Michelle Obama, but she does look like another strong woman, Diahann Carroll. Naomi looks amazing, as usual!

Naomi looks amazing, but Michelle Obama is nowhere in these pics. I am seeing a bit of Eartha Kitt tho.
