Campaign Confidential
January 3rd, 2013 Janelle comments (15)Luxury powerhouses have unleashed their S/S campaigns with great fanfare, but which brand’s spring outlook are you liking best? Take a look at some of the best brand new campaigns on the scene and let us know your faves in the comments.
Emma Hill (Designer) | Tim Walker (Photographer) | Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme at House and Holme (Art Direction) | Shona Heath (Set Design) | Jane How (Stylist) | Sam McKnight (Hair) | Val Garland (Makeup) | Meghan Collison (Model)
Tim Walker‘s dreamy imagery has come to define the Mulberry campaign look for a few seasons now and the brand’s latest starring Meghan Collison, takes the party underwater setting Meghan against a undersea backdrop of soft pastels and coral that perfectly coordinates with the line’s feminine S/S collection.

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Photographer) | David Bradshaw (Fashion Editor/Stylist) | Melanie Ward (Fashion Editor/Stylist) |Giovanni Bianco (Art Director) |
Giovanni Bianco (Art Director) | Daria Werbowy, Edward Wilding, Joan Smalls, Kacey Carrig, Kate Moss &Veit Couturier (Models)
More is always more in the world of Versace and for S/S they pull out all the stops with a stylized campaign filled with supermodels, bold color and enough drama to fill an entire operetta. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott create a blue tinted world of beauty, sensuality and references to mythology.

Giorgio Armani (Designer)| Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Photographers) Models: Saskia de Brauw & Roch Barbot
Sophistication is key in the world of Armani and Saskia de Brauw serves as the perfect incarnation of the Armani woman in the brand new S/S ads. Poised, refined and of course clad in crisp suiting straight of the runway, de Brauw shines in Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott‘s seamless images.

Riccardo Tisci (Designer) | Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Photographer) |Carine Roitfeld (Fashion Editor/Stylist) | Mathias Augustyniak & Michael Amzalag (Art Director) Models: Francisco Peralta, Kate Moss, Mariacarla Boscono
Givenchy usually goes for high concept campaign shots, but this season the line tones it down with striking black and white portraits. The new campaign even features the ultimate scene stealer, Mariacarla Boscono‘s daughter, Marialucas.

Miuccia Prada (Designer) | Steven Meisel (Photographer) | Olivier Rizzo (Fashion Editor/Stylist) | Guido Palau (Hair Stylist) | Pat McGrath (Makeup Artist) | Ashley Brokaw (Casting Director) Models: Eva Herzigova, Irene Hiemstra, Irina Kravchenko, Kirsten Owen, Maartje Verhoef, Sasha Pivovarova, Saskia de Brauw, Sung Hee Kim, Vanessa Axente
Miuccia’s eclectic collection finds its way onto the backs of a multi-generational cast featuring a series of notable models from the past 20 years. The striking Steven Meisel helmed campaign celebrates the uniqueness of the Spring collection and its undeniable visual impact; when you have great clothes and great models what more do you need.

My favorite as always is Givenchy, even though I’m not a big fan of non-models in campaigns, but the Spanish bull-fighter does a pretty good job, but I still miss the group shots, like in s/s 2010 & f/w 2010

Those Giorgio Armani images are so forgettable .I think that Givenchy image of Maria Carla with her baby is my favourite . Bold and stands out from the crowd . I always have a soft spot for Tim Walker and his dream like images though

I like Versace. Very unreal and eye catching.
Givenchy is good too but I want to see more especially Kate Moss.

No very special, especially Armani.
I’m tired of non-models.

By non-models I mean:
> Marina Abramovic
> Jose Maria Manzares
> Jared Buckhiester.
All of those three above are not models and THEY ARE FEATURE (maybe not yet) in the Givenchy campaign. I would be really stupid to browse Models.com for four years and not realizing that MCB is a model

Something about the Prada I love.
Loved the Versace when I first saw it, even more so now. Hello Daria! And almost died when I saw Joan Smalls working it like this – dynamite. Me wants model with the red hair..

Mulberry reminds of Chanel’s acquatic dispatch for Spring 2012′s runway.
Loving the high definition and Meghan Collison, naturally.

Mulberry: I LOVE it.
Versace: I didn’t see the need to pull out supers like Kate and Daria. That’s usually a move if the collection was weak, but Spring 13 has been the best Versace collection since Fall 2011. But I just LOVE ME some Ms.Werbowy so okay. I wish Anna Selezneva could have partook in this campaign, she has that goddess air that could have only add-on to this campaign. I’ll be waiting for video to come out.
Givenchy: Maria’s baby is beautiful!!
Prada: So many thoughts, so many thoughts. Why so many girls? The lighting is so awkward, group shots would of done best.
