The Look of Julia Hetta

November 6th, 2012 Posted by Janelle comments (4)

One of the most interesting photographers to catch our eye of late is talented Swede, Julia Hetta. With work appearing in influential indie glossies like Acne Paper, Dazed & Confused, Bon Magazine and Another Magazine, Hetta is most certainly making waves within the industry and taking a look at her images it is easy to see why. Her dynamic portraiture owes a great deal to classic paintings and sculpture, yet it feels refreshing. Using dramatic lighting, stark contrasts and the occasional well used prop, Hetta creates an unmistakable atmosphere within her imagery. Take a look at some our favorite Hetta images past and present and for more be sure to check out her website, Julia Hetta.com.

the men shots are amazing but the women just looks like we already saw them somewhere else

  2. Gustavo says:

I have to agree with truman about the girl´s pictures, even though the pictures posted here are far better than some photographs that were already taken in the past. She is definitely good!

  3. Bruce Edwin says:

some photogs who like one gender more than another gender will shoot boys better than girls, while the ones who like girls better shoot girls better…the same can be true of each model, some photogs do not like certain models or they do not connect well, therefore, they may not shoot them well, whereas another photog will shoot them better even when both have equal skills

  4. Arron says:

    great! i like it
