July 24th, 2009 Janelle comments (30)Fragrance campaigns are a major coup for any girl lucky enough to land one and the latest set of perfume ads to emerge feature the biggest stars of the moment. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shoot perennial favorite, Raquel Zimmermann for Viktor & Rolf‘s Eau Mega. The larger than life ads feature a giant Raquel dominating a golden cityscape. Dior goes for a more traditional route with Edita Vilkeviciute‘s tropic themed Escale à Portofino ads while Prada revamps its S/S Steven Meisel helmed muse campaign with Viktoriya Sosonkina, Anna Jagodzinska, Toni Garrn and Ymre Stiekema. Note the devilish gleam in Anna’s eyes as she aims the atomizer straight for Toni.

Mmmmm love that Prada ad.
Each face is so different. It’s really well executed by girls and the moment is captured so perfectly, even better than the s/s campaign itself.
Anna looks like she is seducing Toni to smell this forbidden potion.
Toni looks like she is mesmerized by it.
Ymre is tempted to smell it.
And Victoriya is anxious i would say and can hardly wait to get the smell into her lungs.
God, it’s genius!

Raquel could have been more “sensual” in the V&R ad if her skirt is more slightly lower instead of up to her Vadge. and a little cleavage could help too. I love her legs..not loving the all washup Gold hue…
Raques body here is slightly boyish. Could use more curves to add sensuality.

I guess blonde women are the only ones who buy perfume. The casting of these same faces perplexes me in world as diverse as it is. I dont get it.

Raquel makes me so proud! We had Gisele Zelauy, Dalma Callado, Betty Lago, Luciana Curtis, Gisele…and she is evolving into a fashion fixture around the world and lastly in Brazil! But things come for those who wait patiently!

The Prada ad is nice, but I’m not a big fan because it’s hard for me to tell who each girl is. I like being able to identify models when I see the ads, and I can’t really tell who’s who in that picture.

I always love V&R ad, I also thought Raquel was Carolyn when I first saw the ad.
Dior is boring, the picture is boring and the bottle is boring. I could understand some said Raquelùs body is boyish here because of her muscular arm and flat breasts but her legs SELL!!!! The girls in Prada all look the same so I assumed they were a same girls photoshoped by computer till I read some of the ad previews of Prada. Great work, Prada!!!
