Georgia Rule

Georgia May Jagger and her languid look have found their way onto the pages of Vogue Paris. The pillow lipped beauty is photographed by Patrick Demarchelier in the August issue and once again we are reminded of a certain other beloved blonde with a gap. Not to rest on the laurels of a VP edit alone, Georgia May is also face of the Mario Sorrenti helmed Hudson jeans campaign and the subject of a WWD profile. Not a bad way to kick start your career.

Hmmmm, Im not sure that I am convinced. I mean she is obviously a cute girl with an obvious sex appeal, but why is it that there can only be one black or asian or indian model around and working the best jobs, but the fashion industry will trumpet the arrival of and promote and give high-profile jobs to an army of “dolls” or “bug eyes” or lara stone clones? I Wonder. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm

    hummm… She looks like a rabbit…

Mix Lara Stone and Abbey Lee Kershaw, and you got Georgia May!

  6. AaronP says:

Because, foreal, this industry is sadly run by white people. Although black models have made leaps and bounds, they are still not at the same level of demand as white models are. Same goes for Asian models. It’s too bad that there can only be one super star of each race besides white, where there can be a million super stars.

    It’s the sad truth.

Foreal, on the other note, Blonde Glamazons are truly rare….Yes they dominate the pages of magazine or the ad campaigns but in real life they are the minority. Blondes are gonna extinct sooner. Because everybody is mix and interracial….Blondes are more exotic and seemed rarer….

In my opinion, it is a bit sad that every model now wants to look (or people make them look) like Lara Stone.. Lack of personality and originality… ;(

  9. Ambigous says:

I disagree, Lara Stone’s images has a lot of Intensity, Energy and Personality.

  13. Fire says:

Yeah Ambigous, Lara’s pic do have intensity. i agree. But what lacks here is authenticity… these pics are good, but nothing knew. It’s a copy of Lara, thats all.

  19. AJP says:

“i love my short girls but what do we need her for when we have lara?”

Just because she has similar features as Lara Stone doesn’t mean she can’t be a model. She’s attractive and can wear clothes, what more do you want? If Lara didn’t exist, Georgia May would still be a model.

There is something loathsome about this celebrity child modelling obsession, but when then result is as fabulous as Georgia Jagger who cares!!!
