Dont Miss: “Garments, Lightscapes”

January 12th, 2012 Posted by Janelle comment (1)

Art and fashion collided in Dries Van Noten‘s spring collection: look closely at the dresses, skirts and jackets and you’ll see photographer James Reeve‘s beautiful series ‘Lightscapes’ emblazoned throughout. Van Noten wanted to create a collection with prints comprised only of things that “were not made to be printed on fabric.” Dries had first noticed Reeves’ work while presiding over the fashion jury at Festival d’Hyères and sought him out specifically. Fittingly the duo’s collaboration has graced museums in Vienna, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Now the exhibition comes to Paris’ Joyce Gallery, with an opening reception tonight and a exhibition until the 25th of January. Don’t miss it!
