Hip Pop

Stepping behind the camera and serving as photographer, legendary stylist Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele shares her vivid vision with Vogue Japan in a splashy editorial styled by Sissy Vian. The story features all the hallmarks of Cerf De Dudzeele’s work; over the top hair, vintage Versace and a kind of bold bravado that calls for equally outlandish ensembles. Lindsay Ellingson, Simon Nessman and Vika Falileeva work it in ombre coifs by Oribe and a selection of BalmainDolce & Gabbana and vintage, that makes Anna Dello Russo’s outfits look tame by comparison.

  1. Candice Swanepoel would be perfect for this!!!

Simon Nessman is the most Beautiful here, the rest of the women just fades next to him!

  2. Why do people always mess around with Simon’s lovely curly locks? They are so beautiful and stop making those locks straight…it’s unnnatural.

  3. I actually love the styling of this shoot, but it’s funny how how you guys are saying it looks sooooo tacky and out of place yet the one that V-mag just did received so much positive feedback. I think that one(V-mag) moved so many because it was actually believable. Missing something Vogue? The models don’t tell a believable “Hip Pop” story in this one. It’s 2012, use a little color on color next time. *hint, hint*

  4. @kukupiku I quite like the ‘slicked back-fade look on Simon. The curls are very nice, but wit that face anything works. What a gorgeous man!!
