Doll Domination

Lily Cole makes her return to modeling by bringing in the new year and covering Vogue Russia‘s January issue, photographed by Anthony Maule. For a seasonal look, Gemma Smith-Edhouse paints on a strong red lip to Lily’s doll like face and offsets her cover story co-star. With new spring looks from Louis Vuitton to Gucci styled by Ekaterina Mukhina, we are reminded of why the doll generation of models were so popular to begin with.

  1. Unfortunately the editorial falls flat for me. She looks too photoshopped and the jaguar has absolutely no deal into being included in this, theres no connection between anything in these photos. A visor? And on the cover?? smh..

  2. Bring back the dolls. More Lily, more Heather. I would love to know what happened to Lisa Cant. And if only Gemma would return to modelling.

  3. She looks awesome in the 4-6th pics, and I LOVE LOVE those cute fluffy outfits. The skirt on the first pic is so fun. Beautiful!!!

  4. The first shot is really wonky for me but other than that, things are looking pretty good! The cover is the most striking image in this bunch.

And yes, she makes me long for a Gemma return even more. Oh, Gemma. What have you DONE to us?!

  5. This is weird. Whats the point of the panther? So Random!
I don’t understand where they are meant to be either. Or the point of view of the styling. its all so random. Great to see Lily back, hopefully in something that makes sense next.

  6. Am I the only one that thinks Russian Vogue has some of the worst retouching?!? They make all of the people look like they were just wheeled in from Madam Tussauds wax museum!
