Unforgettable

Revlon, the iconic makeup brand of the classic Richard Avedon ads featuring supermodels, returns to form with a gorgeous new campaign starring Anne Vyalitsyna. Actresses are cute, but no one beats a model when it comes to selling the beauty ideal. With smoky eyes and a plum pout by Gucci Westman, Anne looks every bit as unforgettable as the classic Revlon beauties of yesteryear.

    finally!!!

there wasn’t a single model face in the drugstores for the past decade and more!!!

everything has a celebrity. pantene is eva mendes, naomi watts and yesterday they announced liv tyler will be a rep too. bring back models who are born with gorgeous hair, lips, eyes, skin..not these actresses who are so-so!!

anne v looks absolutely STUNNING….. (im sure the retouching helps…a lot) but @kitkat What are you talking about?!?! Maybelline has Christy Turlington, Julia Stegner, Jessica White, ShuPei, Lisalla, Emily DiDonato, Kemp Muhl they had Adriana Lima. Estee Lauder is Liu Wen, Constance Jablonski….
Loreal, Cover Girl and Revlon tend to use spokes people and I agree using models is definitely more appealing. Not that these products actually work….i mean its all in the retouching people truthfully.

This is fantastic news! I know Revlon has used models in and out but the last big contracted one seems to be Cindy Crawford, which was ages ago. I would love if Anne became the main face and not Halle Berry,Eva Mendes,Jessica Alba,Jessica Beil. There is nothing like a model in a beauty ad. The actresses look like overphotshopped smiley…well actors. They don’t look like models, no matter how pretty they are. Maybelline uses all models. Would be nice if Revlon,Coverigrl switched back as well.

directdelight: yes those brands (Thanks Heavens!) use models but Revlon,Coverigirl used to only use models too. CIndy Crawford was the Revlon model of the 90s, Niki Taylor the covergirl model of the 90s. We need a model as a “main” face, not just one who is used in one advertisement once every 3 years! The actresses are the main faces now.

Wow. She totally deserves this and more. She’s been so long in the industry and she still looks so fresh (well she was like 13 when she started out but anyway), I always wondered why she never got jobs like this. I love Women Management :)
