Uncovered
September 29th, 2011 Betty comments (12)Rick Genest, AKA Zombie Boy, who’s garnered worldwide attention with his Nicola Formichetti/Mugler association, reveals a completely different side of himself in the latest Schön Magazine. Matthew Lyn‘s crisp and striking images uncovers an almost angelic face underneath the ink. Contrasting divinely with the pieces by Rag & Bone, James Long and Issey Miyake, Rick and his tattoos certainly give a whole different spin on the fall looks. Tell us if you think it works in the comments. (See the full editorial/behind the scenes video on Schon).

Amazing. But he’s so gorgeous, why does he got tattoos all over his body? On the other hand, it’s a great gain for our fashion world!

Rico is a performance artist from the gutter punk community in Canada. To me, he is a reinforcer of positive artistic integrity. He’s representing himself for those you will probably never have the same opportunity. If you ever get to meet him in person, you will find he is very polite and way down to earth. That he was discovered in facebook and somehow transplanted into the fashion industry, now doing editorials doesn’t make him a one trick pony, but a man doing business to get ahead in the world. I think he does an incredibly great fucking job at modeling Rag & Bone, James Long and Issey Miyake’s pieces. So middle finger goes out to those who don’t give love to any artist making his bread and butter. Some love to hate him and some may hate to love him. Peace out.
