Into the Woods

Stockton Johnson shoots an impressive Vogue China story featuring Du Juan for the magazine’s September issue. Focusing on pattern, colorful prints from Balenciaga and Marni are used throughout the images. Stylist Yi Guo utilizes some of the season’s most vibrant separates to great effect and Du makes even the most eclectic ensembles seem refined. The unique clothes, combined with the natural setting and vivid colors, make for an especially beautiful editorial.

PLEASE LIST DU JUAN AS ONE OF THE ICONS!!!

She is the first Chinese model breaks into the Western fashion world and shes is such a huge success. Leading the fact that there are more and more Asian models jumping into western fashion industry.

Based on this reason she deserves this spot!
    Please Editors!

  3. This story is stunning! I love the mood, the pattern clothing against this background and Du Juan looks amazing.

  4. totally agree that she should be in the icon list! she’s got such a unique look compared with other Asians who are relatively more generic looking. she really should be bigger than she is! such a shame!

  5. Du Juan is totally iconic. Adding to the fact that she broke the ice in the western market–she was also Miss China in 2003. Unlike many other models (of all races), Du Juan is agreeable in both high fashion, commercial modeling and the general public…!!!
