Behind the Campaign : Givenchy

Campaign season is in full swing and while everyone loves the finished products – and the continuous stream of database updates on the subject, it is always nice to see the process that goes into each ad. We’d previously posted a glimpse at Givenchy‘s growling and howling F/W extravaganza, but take a look at the shoot itself. Veteran models Kristen McMenamy, Naomi Campbell and Mariacarla Boscono join relative newcomers Jonathan Marquez and Rob Evans in the Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott helmed images and the making of images add another layer of enjoyment.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like this season’s Givenchy campaign? I loved the past few, but for some reason I can’t put my finger on, this one doesn’t work for me. I think I would like it better if it was group shots, and if the final product was less retouched. But hey, at least its better than those blank faces Meisel has been shooting at Prada and Balenciaga.

Tisci after Ford s been the only one to bring back an excitement about a business every season so close to die…i ve to say it really feels like the Versace era.. he s doing an amazing job.. hope mr Ford will be able to get back on track cos his ad look very Cavalli ( which for me stands for trashy )
