Take It To The Streets!
July 15th, 2011 Janelle comments (11)The impact of street-style bloggers on the current fashion scene is undeniable. Whether you’re following every Lookbook.nu update or watching photogs like Garance Doré and Tommy Ton make their way into the pages of Vogue, it is hard to escape the blog phenomenon. This month’s British Vogue gives a wry twist on the trend with Raymond Meier‘s colorful street-style inspired editorial starring the stunning Suvi Koponen.
At first glance these pictures definitely look like something you’d see on a fashion Tumblr. You’ve got all the tell-tale tropes; girl toting motorcycle helmet in outfit unfit for a motorcycle – check, beleaguered editor carrying not one but two seasonal it-bags – check, Anna Dello Russo approved cherry hat – check. Stylist Charlotte Pilcher has certainly done her homework and it shows. The look at me (and please take my picture) over-the-top-ness of each look mimics the trend without ever verging into parody.

I think she’s always been hazel, they may have just retouched the Calvin ads or something.
In a recent interview she said she hasn’t yet figured what to do instead of modeling so she’ll keep doing these odd jobs every now and then, doesn’t really sound like she has the ambition to do a full scale comeback.

Like how they’ve used the trademarked name “Style Hunter” from British Grazia’s Street Style pages!
