May 26th, 2009 Janelle comments (28)Givenchy steps into fresh territory for F/W 09, enlisting Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott to create a quintessentially French scene of beauties lounging in the Château de Ferrières. As always Mariacarla Boscono is front and center but she is joined by Iris Strubegger and much buzzed about newcomer Ranya Mordanova, whose signature crop and natural austerity make her a perfect fit for the house. On the menswear side, newcomer Manuel Ramos does his first tour of duty for the brand, Simon Nessman completes his 3rd season for the brand while Jakob Wiechmann does his second; the boys certainly look edgy in Tisci’s naval inspired vision for men.
Perhaps the most eye-catching surprise is Adriana Lima‘s goth makeover, building on her surprise runway revival at the F/W show the Brazilian bombshell is given the Mert & Marcus treatment and looks more high fashion than she has in years.

THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN IS BREATH TAKEN BUT TO THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO SEE ADRIANA LIMA BACK IN THE HIGH FASHION. SHE LOOKS STUNNING REALLY FASHION AND I HOPE SHE KEEPS IN THIS PATH, DOING MORE RUNWAY SHOWS AND FASHION EDITORIALS AND CAMPAIGNS.

These shots are amazing, Ranya looks like a Baby Vampire and effortlessly Creepy. Like she just sat there and inhabit the look of what Givenchy is going for….Maria Carla is impressive too, she looks very powerful and Andrgynous….
Oh shoot, that’s Adriana Lima….lol. The VS model, putting a lard of make up to be high fashion lol…..that’s the vibe I’m getting from her…
