Sui He captures the grace and power of influential Japanese dancer Kazuo Ohno, in V Magazine‘s Asia Issue. Shot by Glen Luchford and styled by Beat Bolliger, the stark story features minimalist runway looks and dramatic hair and makeup by Lucia Pieroni and Eugene Souleiman. Each element of the story calls to mind Ohno’s legendary stage presence presence and Sui He’s skillful posing, even calls to mind Butoh performance in some shots.

Totally fierce. Not knocking Gaga, but any of these image would have been great on the cover of V’s “Asian” issue.
