Beautiful hair is a prerequisite models, but who doesn’t want to look like they have perfect tresses? Team MDC spent the past month testing out shampoos, conditioners and styling products in an effort to find the very best. We’ve narrowed it down to a few favorites, but be sure to tell us your personal picks in the comments!

Best Styling Tools – T3

Used backstage at shows by experts like Orlando Pita the T3 line of tools has become an industry standard. These aren’t your ordinary hair dryers –  the lightweight line features a patent pending tourmaline design and boasts a 60% faster drying time than most dryers on the market. We tested the award winning Featherweight on girls with straight and curly hair and without fail the dryer finished the job in under 10 minutes, with no frizz or flyways. It is no wonder then that Allure Magazine named this their top choice four years in a row! Added bonus, the equally impressive Manetamer flatiron can be used on wet or dry hair to take your look to that next level.

Best Line for Straight Hair – Bumble & Bumble

Super sleek center parted looks are a perennial fashion favorite and for girls with naturally stick straight texture the Bumble and Bumble line delivers the tools to keep hair well conditioned, free of frizz and blessed with that coveted shine. If you’re looking to perfect that blowout try a bit of the a try a little of the silicone infused, Straight. Anyone in search of sheen needs to give the Let It Shine range a try. The lineup of shampoo, conditioner and lightweight finishing spray leave your hair gleaming.

Best Line for Relaxed & Natural Hair – Phytospecific

Relaxed hair requires special care and Phytospecific‘s deluxe range offers everything from deep conditioning to extra gentle shampoos infused with shea butter and sunflower oil to hydrate and condition. Fans of the French line include everyone from Essence editor Mikki Taylor, to supermodel Veronica Webb, so we knew our hair was in good hands. from Our favorites from the line included the Intense Nutrition Shampoo & Mask as well as the Moisturizing Styling Cream, the trio left our once brittle hair feeling soft and luxurious.

Best Line for Color Treated Hair – Bumble & Bumble

What can we say, Bumble and Bumble’s products are just tops and for anyone who dyes their hair (whether you’re just covering grays or going platinum) their lineup for color treated hair is great. Top choices include the Mending Masque – for damaged strands in need of a little TLC and the Mending Shampoo an ultra-hydrating creation that can deep clean without stripping away color.
