Michael Simmonds. d1 Model Management.
Cool London boutique agency, d1 Models, home to Luke Worrall, continues to spin out the awesome English boys. Witness Michael Simmonds, from Northwest London. Rock on we say!
Christy Turlington doesn’t get out much but when she does, WOW, is all we can say.
Vogue’s model roundtable with Sally Singer. Wish we could have been there..
Ellis, the Model Agent (from Independent Models) and Erin O’Connor, supermodel search for the next Irish supermodel on TV. Here are the girls.
The Cut has a hilarious list of why Madonna may be doing LV with Jesus Luz.
Time’s 100 list this year? Very lacking in fashion industry names. Only Stella McCartney makes it this year.
Fascinating behind the scenes interview on Avedon with his book designer and one time daughter in law, Elizabeth Avedon.
American Vogue’s style director, Alexandra Kotur, is interviewed by the New York Observer. Anna Wintour says, “I trust her with all sorts of important sittings.” That’s high praise indeed, coming from Ms Wintour herself…
Matthew Williamson for H&M’s event had Helena and Selita looking gorgeous. Chanel Iman and Dree Hemingway…. not as much (so says Jezebel). Go here for some Jeremy Kost shots from the party.
T Magazine downsized, Mixte Magazine folds…. so sad.

Michael Simmonds full length.

At first glance, I actually thought this was Alex Gilbert from Select. Alex has done exceptionally well, bagging campaigns for brands such as Benneton and Paul Smith who capitalise on his wholesome Brittish image.
I’m sure this boy will do equally well, although he looks a bit young to be selling men’s products just now. It may take a few seasons for him to build up and get a bit healthier looking in order to sell the more commercial stuff.

Wow. He could work today with his boyish charm and in the future when he matures. Great find.

thanks for the interview with ms. avedon and ms. kotur. really refreshing to read about talented people doing a great job and not pandering to the media or involved in a reality tv show!
